Relationships these days can honestly be scary, especially long-distance ones 😔💔💔
Back in the middle of April, my friend’s girlfriend came over to spend time with him and stayed at his place for almost three weeks. They had an amazing time together.....shopping, dinner dates, junk food runs, matching vibes, everything you could think of.
My guy spent on her without holding back: clothes, outings, treats… all because he truly believed he was the only man in her life and was already planning to propose to her someday.
The craziest part? He trusted her completely. Anytime he asked to check her phone, she handed it over freely. No suspicious chats, no strange calls, nothing. Then she’d hit him with lines like:
“I’ll never take your love for granted. I see everything you do for us and I could never hurt you by cheating.”
Omo those words always melted him 😭
The love just kept increasing like she use jazz for the relationship. Barely four months in and my guy was already moving mountains for her.
Before she left, she pitched a business idea to him. My friend believed in her so much that he sent her ₦1,250,000 immediately to support the business, plus paid for her flight back to Calabar. She told him she’d be busy renting a shop, buying supplies and setting things up, so communication might reduce a bit. Still, they talked every day.
Fast forward to yesterday.
We travelled for my friend’s younger sister’s convocation party at DELSU. After all the celebration, drinking and enjoyment, it got too late to drive home, so we lodged at a hotel nearby.
As I was outside, I suddenly saw one girl that looked exactly like my guy’s babe. I texted him jokingly:
“I see person wey resemble your babe o 😭”
He replied immediately:
“Taah, my babe dey Calabar.”
I quickly snapped the girl from afar and sent the picture to him:
“No be your babe be this?”
Immediately, this guy called me on video. I turned the camera towards the girl so he could confirm himself. I kept watching her from a distance until my friend rushed downstairs from the lodge.
The moment he got close, he shouted her name in shock.

She started stammering, biting her lips, acting confused like she no even know who Fredrick be.
As my guy kept asking: “Babe, what are you doing here?!”
another guy stepped out from a car nearby and asked:
“Baby, wetin dey happen?”
That was the exact moment my friend nearly lost his sanity 😭😭
Both men started asking her the same question: “Who is this guy?”
Fredrick was angry and confused, still calling her “babe,” trying to understand what was going on. Without warning, the other guy slapped him hard.
Fight burst instantly 😭
At first it was one-on-one. Me sef I was trying to separate them because Fredrick had already given the other guy bloody nose. But suddenly the guy’s friends rushed in shouting:
“Egede pass the order!” 😭😭😭
The whole place scattered.
The other guy eventually started calming his boys down saying it was a small issue he could handle himself. But damage had already been done. Both of them were bruised badly, throwing punches everywhere. Fredrick even lost some teeth during the fight before hotel security finally stepped in to separate two grown men fighting over one girl.
Omo that night pain my guy.
This man no sleep at all. Full grown man dey cry like small pikin 😭
Till now I still don’t know whether he’s crying because of heartbreak and betrayal… or because him tooth don comot during the fight 😭💔
One thing for sure, this female gender fit really stain white 😭
