With hearts full of thanksgiving, we rejoice in what the Lord is doing in our midst. Following the historic creation of the Diocese of Eko Atlantic, we celebrate with great joy the election of our beloved Chaplain, The Very Rev. Prof. Konyinsola Ajayi, SAN, as Pioneer Bishop-Elect of the Diocese of Eko Atlantic.
This is indeed the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes! We give Almighty God all the praise and glory for this new chapter in the life of His Church, and we warmly congratulate our Bishop-Elect and his family.
As he prepares to undertake this historic responsibility, we pray that the Lord will grant him abundant grace, wisdom, courage and strength; that He will give him the heart of a true shepherd; and that, through his episcopal ministry, the new Diocese will become a vibrant centre of discipleship, evangelism, compassionate ministry and transformational Christian witness.
May God establish the Diocese of Eko Atlantic, enlarge its witness, and use it mightily for the proclamation of the Gospel and the advancement of His Kingdom.
