🎥 This March, Women’s Film Club proudly presents the curated screening of Celestina Aleobua’s () three distinct short film series; ‘Tina When Will You Marry’ ‘The People of Sand’ and ‘Second Wind’.

‘Tina When Will You Marry’– The clock ticks and the questions begin. As she turns 30, Tina is faced with the sudden pressure to get married. By exploring the stories of three unconventional Nigerian-Canadian women, she’s compelled to tune out the society and traditions that try to dictate what life looks like.

‘The people of Sand’– On a quest to explore what lies outside the walls of her village, a young warrior exposes herself and her home to covetous eyes.

‘Second Wind’– The tumultuous relationship between a photographer and a model reaches its breaking point as they take a road trip down a country road.

This December, the Women’s Film Club proudly presents the screening of ‘OJUJU’. The 2014 debut feature film of writer and director, C.J “Fiery” Obasi.

‘OJUJU’— set in a teeming Lagos slum, it provides an all-too-realistic explanation for the sudden transformation of its inhabitants into desiccated figures with an appetite for human flesh:” This haunting film reflects a harsh reality, shedding light on the widespread issue of water contamination that plagues many parts of Nigeria.
