Good News!

The Makoko Dream back to school program was a huge success. Here we reached out to over 5 schools in Makoko and environs with the message of the gospel and other gifts.

The excitement and joy on the faces of these children just enforces our belief that their dreams are valid.

Good News! We are pleased to announce that our founder Emmanuel Agunze just won the prestigious Microsoft Impact Award.
The Award as set up by Ark and Rainbow Foundation in partnership with UVisuals, and supported by Leap Africa and Nigeria Youth Future fund, is a testament of the hard and progressive work we do at The Makoko Dream Foundation.

Welcome to the Makoko Dream Foundation School, our cozy Haven for slum community dwellers to learn in a unique way.

Our goal this year is to grant access to digital skills and training, one child per time.

We believe that every child should be equipped with the necessary skillset to be the best version of themselves.

Join us and make this dream a reality for hundreds of children in the slum communities in Nigeria and Africa.

From Waste to Wealth and Treasure!

See how pure water sachet nylons are being used to make durable chairs and tables for Makoko children!

So, many years ago, I thought of how the Makoko waste will be transformed into wealth.

Sadly, my niche is Education and I didn't have the wherewithal to convert the enormous waste in the community to wealth.

Fast forward some months back, using SDG17 of Partnership for the goals, I spoke to a friend who is enthusiastic about waste to wealth, group, and he simply said, don't worry, we will make something beautiful for your school children.

Guess what?

The pure water sachet recycled chairs and table combo came recently to the school.

It is durable and fully recyclable. I am so looking forward to how these can be further enhanced to produce even wardrobes and library shelves for the Makoko Dream school children.

Truly their dreams are valid, and we at The Makoko Dream are simply living the dream.
