There are times when an angel is sent to us.
There are times when we are left alone in need, despair, pain, wanting, hungry and thirsty.
We cry for help and he answers our call.
This is our story, this is who we are...
THE BIRTH OF THE BEGINNING...
Our First Fundraising Campaign
It was in 2008, when we gained admission into the great citadel of learning, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology. Sister Hadrat (a friend) also got admission and resumed school. At our early stage in LAUTECH, there was a 3 month strike and everyone especially the fresher's were returning home. Sister Hadrat was among the fresher returning home.
She suffered an accident which led to a spinal cord injury and total sum of 15million would restructure her spine back. That was her only hope to walk again.
Together with Muslim Students Society of Nigeria (LAUTECH Branch), after 6 years the money.
SISTER HADRAT, her last seen condition had improved, but she never GRADUATED with us. Abdulganiyy Abiodun Ajayi
A GROWING PASSION
The Second Fundraising Activity
This was in 2013, Oseni Ibrahim A gist me about a fundraising he is currently engaged in and tagged as #SaveBukky'sSoul; printed T-shirts, Newspaper pages and everywhere were filled with this campaign. OK, Bukky is a friend to my brother (Oseni Ibrahim), who had a kidney problem and she need #8,000,000 for a kidney transplant.
This fund raising was a simultaneous one. While raising finds for Bukky, we met another patient patient named SHUKRAH, a 15 year old girl (who soon became the first success story story LUTH for kidney transplant), she also was in need of #5,000,000 for kidney transplant.
***We raised the funds through publicity and meeting philanthropist.
Bukky is still alive
After few months of SHUKRAH discharge from the hospital, she died (story for another day).
OUR BIGGEST LOST
Our Third Fundraising Campaign
With our past history in fundraising, a family contacted us to help out. Together with Laaro Feyishayo Sanni we started a campaign to #SaveAzeezat in 2016 and she needed #8,500,000 for reconstruction of her bladder. Azeezat Sanni got her ureter and bladder damaged as a result of doctors’ carelessness, who had operated on her, early 2014.
Azeezat's case was such a pathetic one and displayed the deplorable state of Nigeria Health sector and the results of certifying unqualified candidates as professionals.
In just One month, we raised #10,000,000 and thanks to you all concerned Nigerians.
Early days of December, 2016, we lost Azeezat Sanni due some throat infection.
BEGINNING OF AN END
Our Fourth Fundraising Project
After our lost (did I mention Azeezat was sister-in-law), I broke down. Several people contacted us to verify their stories and help out in fundraising.
We did for some projects like siddiqah_cic (my street kitchen), where I have acted as the Project Officer and tremendously participated in the success story of the street kitchen. You can check their pages .In 2017, we were able to feed 19,834 less privileged people. You support their next project through donations, as they move around Nigeria creating awareness on hunger Aishah Adams (COO Siddiqah), Aminat Adams Cardeejah Oyepeju Oyelowo, Temitope Usman Barliekies Bello, Ahmed Akinsemoyin,
THE BEGINNING OF A NEW YEAR
Our Fifth Fundraising Task
On 21st January,2018, I received a call from a sister in Ilorin, kwara state. To help a worker raise funds for an eye operation. She suffers cataract in both eyes and she is about to go blind. And she needed #150,000 and in two days. We raised the funds.
The operation was a success and she even has some funds left for drugs to keep her eyes in a good state.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT SO FAR
