When girls go to school, incredible things happen. Educated women are more likely to work, innovate, and contribute significantly to their nation's economy, leading to stronger economies for everyone. They also tend to have smaller, healthier families and are better informed about nutrition and hygiene.

Education is a powerful tool for breaking cycles of poverty, benefiting not just the girl, but her entire family and future generations. Ultimately, educated girls become empowered women who lead, advocate for change, and build stronger, more equitable communities.

Every girl deserves the chance to learn and thrive.

Today, on World Menstrual Hygiene Day, we stand Together for a Period Friendly World 🌍🩸

Menstruation is natural, but for millions of girls and women, stigma, shame, lack of access to sanitary products, and limited education continue to create barriers to health, confidence, and opportunity.

At Girls Inspired Africa, we believe that no girl should miss school, feel excluded, or be silenced because of her period. Creating a period-friendly world means ensuring access, dignity, education, and support for every girl everywhere.

This World Menstrual Hygiene Day, let's:
1) Break the stigma
2) Promote menstrual health education
3) Support access to menstrual products
4) Create safe and supportive spaces for girls

Because when we come together, we empower girls to thrive without limitations.
