Today, we celebrate every girl. From the ones raising their voices in classrooms to those rebuilding hope in communities.

Girls everywhere are standing tall, leading change, and reshaping the world around them.

Even in the face of crisis, they rise, not as victims, but as leaders, innovators, and defenders of a just and equal future. 💪🏽

Let’s stand with every girl who refuses to be silenced, excluded, or left behind. Because when girls lead, our world becomes stronger, fairer, and full of promise. 🌍✨

🩸 Menstrual Hygiene Day | May 28 🧡
In 2025, no girl should suffer because of her period.
Yet across Nigeria and many parts of Africa, millions of girls still face shame, silence, and suffering during menstruation.

Let’s talk about it.

💥 Harmful Practices That Must End — Today:

🚫 Using old rags, newspapers, or tissue due to lack of sanitary pads — leading to infections.
🚫 Drying used pads or cloths in hidden, dark places, increasing risk of bacteria buildup.
🚫 Isolating girls in huts or separate rooms when they are menstruating (common in some rural communities).
🚫 Forcing girls to miss school because of lack of pads, pain, or stigma.
🚫 Telling girls they are “unclean” and should not enter the kitchen, pray, or take part in family or cultural life.
🚫 Using silence as a tradition — where menstruation is never explained or discussed, leaving young girls confused and scared.
🚫 Mocking or bullying girls who stain their clothes or ask for help.

These are not culture. Not faith. Not modesty.
They are harmful taboos that rob girls of dignity, education, and health.

At T&K Foundation we are saying loud and clear:
🧡 Menstruation is not a curse. It’s a sign of life.
🧡 Pads are not a luxury. They’re a basic need.
🧡 Education is not optional. It’s a right.

Let this Menstrual Hygiene Day be a turning point — where we don’t just talk change, we live it.

International Day of the Boy Child 2025 💙
"Building Self-esteem in Boys: Stand Up, Be Heard, Be Seen."

Today, the world celebrates our boys, our future leaders, fathers, brothers, and nation-builders. In a world that often tells boys to be tough, quiet, or invisible, this year’s theme is a refreshing and powerful call to action:

💬 Stand Up. Be Heard. Be Seen.

To every boy out there:
💪 You are enough.
🗣 Your voice matters.
👁 You are seen and loved—just as you are.

Let’s keep building safe, empowering spaces for our boys to thrive emotionally, spiritually, and mentally. It's not just about raising boys—it's about raising whole men.

Happy Workers’ Day & Welcome to May!

Today provides us the opportunity to celebrate the resilience, dedication, and strength of every Nigerian Worker.

As we step into a new month, may our faith be renewed, strength be multiplied, and excellence remain our shared pursuit; forging ahead—undaunted, united, and inspired to build a safer and greater Nigeria.

From all of us at T&K Foundation, we salute the labour of all workers across the length and breadth of our dear country.

Be careful, don't let anyone touch your breasts, your thighs, your buttocks...

But even more carefully, don't let anyone touch your mind.

___
When I have a daughter, I will tell her this…

"Do not just protect your body. Protect your mind.”

Yes, be careful who touches your breasts, your thighs, your buttocks.

But even more carefully, watch who tries to touch your mind.

Don’t let anyone, man or woman, creep into your thoughts with lies.

Don’t let them plant seeds that say:

“You’re too small.”

“You belong in the kitchen.”

“You can’t lead.”

“You can’t build.”

“You can’t speak on global stages.”

“You’re just a woman.”

No, my daughter.

You are more.

Don’t let them tell you your dreams are too big for a girl.

Don’t let them tell you the world is not your space.

Don’t let them poison your confidence, or cage your vision.

Because once they touch your mind, they’ve touched everything.

They’ve touched your becoming.

They’ve touched your potential.

They’ve touched your ability to rise.

So I will tell her this:

Your brain is not just for remembering recipes.

It’s for birthing innovation.

Your hands are not just for doing laundry.

They are made to write history.

Your back is not just for carrying babies.

It is strong enough to carry nations.

Your eyes are not just for watching over children.

They are made to see visions and lead solutions.

So my daughter, protect your mind.

This is how we raise women who rise.
This is how we raise women who reign.

I won't just say this to my daughter,
I will write it in the heart of my sons.
