It would be overwhelming for teachers to disregard the call for personal training and education because we live in the times where it is almost possible for students to become their best without, necessarily, the effort of any teacher. It is therefore important that teachers get the expertise that will enable them stay abreast of the emerging challenges in the profession. How can we make teachers

understand that they play an important role in nation building? This is the core of the Teacher Engagement and Leadership initiative; we seek to help teachers understand their roles in the society and the world they live in. We, desire and, are determined to help teachers raise dynamic, intelligent, and creative youths that are emotionally stable and mentally alert to fulfill their dreams and attain greatness.

Did you know your TRCN professional development matters?

MCPD means Mandatory Continuing Professional Development. It is TRCN's system for ensuring that teachers continue to learn, improve their practice and maintain their professional standing.

Teachers earn MCPD credit points through approved professional-development programmes, and their participation is recorded by TRCN.

Why does this matter?
Because becoming a certified or licensed teacher is not the end of your professional journey. Teaching evolves, and teachers are expected to keep developing their knowledge, skills and practice. TRCN states that MCPD participation is mandatory for registered teachers, and non-compliance may affect licence renewal and promotion.

Now, here is the opportunity.
The Let There Be Teachers Conference 2026 is a TRCN-recognised professional development opportunity.
TRCN-certified or licensed teachers who attend the Conference can earn 5 TRCN MCPD credits.
