We are incredibly proud to share that Bolatito Daramola, our Project Manager, represented The Bravery Lab at the International Business Management Conference 2026, held at Buckinghamshire New University.

The conference, themed “Driving Collaborative Advantage through Industry-Academia Partnerships,” brought together global business leaders, researchers, and students to present ideas that matter.

Bolatito took to the stage to present The Bravery Lab’s mission: closing the systemic underrepresentation of young teens, women, and men in Nigeria’s innovation and leadership sectors, with Lagos as the launchpad.

Seeing our work held up on an international stage is a reminder of why we show up every day. The Bravery Lab exists because Nigeria’s next generation of leaders deserves more than a seat at the table, they deserve the tools to build the table.

Congratulations, Bolatito. You represented beautifully. 🖤

We talk a lot about empowering young people, but how often do we stop to ask if we’re leaving the boys behind?

Not because they don’t need it. But because somewhere along the line, we decided that boys were supposed to figure it out on their own.

They’re not broken. They’re unseen. And the first step to changing that is simply, seeing them.

Swipe through, then go check on a boy in your life. Not with “be strong.” But with “how are you actually doing?”
That one question might be the bravest thing either of you does today.

Save this if it resonated.
Share it with a parent, teacher, or mentor who needs to see it.

👇🏾 Tell us in the comments, what’s one thing you wish someone had taught you (or the boys in your life) sooner?

We often think of bravery as loud. As the person who speaks up in the room, raises their hand, takes the stage.

And yes, that takes courage.
But so does pausing. Listening without interrupting. Holding space for someone else’s truth even when it challenges your own. Choosing understanding over being right.

At The Bravery Lab, we are building people who are brave enough to do both, to use their voice and to honour someone else’s. Because real courage is not just about being heard. It is about making others feel heard too.

That is the kind of bravery that changes rooms. And rooms change the world.

Every time you did the hard thing, the conversation you were dreading, the room you were nervous to walk into, the decision that kept you up at night, you were building something.

Not just getting through it. Growing from it.

Bravery is not a personality trait that some people are born with and others are not. It is a muscle. And it gets stronger every single time you choose to face what frightens you instead of walking away from it.

At The Bravery Lab, we believe that every person has the capacity to be brave. Not one day, not when conditions are perfect, but right now, in the middle of the ordinary and the difficult and the uncertain.

You have done hard things before. You will do them again. And every time, you become a little more of who you are meant to be.

Our challenges don’t define us, they refine us.

Miss Lagos reminding us that true leadership is born from standing in your truth, even when the path is unconventional. When you fall, you rise and fight even harder. ✨👑

From silenced… to a world record holder. 🌍✨

Victoria Anya Ishaku turned pain into purpose. After struggling with low self-esteem caused by harsh discipline in school, she found her voice through beading, and never looked back.

Today, she holds a Guinness World Records title for making 40 beaded bracelets in one hour. More importantly, she’s building others, launching a beading academy to empower young girls in Plateau State, Nigeria. 🇳🇬

Your story doesn’t end where it hurts. It can begin there.

The world isn’t running out of solutions.
It’s running out of girls who were allowed to become them.

Every girl left behind is a future we all lose — to poverty, to silence, to potential that never had a chance.

The girl child is not a charity case. She is the answer to questions this world is still asking.

Invest in her education. Her safety. Her voice. Her dreams.

Because when she rises — we all do.

The Bravery Lab is committed to every girl who was told she was too much, or not enough.

Tortured Waters is a gripping story about young girls lured by promises of a better life abroad only to be trapped in the harsh reality of human trafficking.

Not every opportunity is what it seems. Behind the promises of a better life, quick money, and “greener pastures” are stories many people never get to tell.

Tortured Waters pulls back the curtain on a reality we often ignore, how trust is gained, how hope is manipulated, and how quickly dreams can turn into nightmares.

This isn’t just a story. It’s awareness, It’s truth, It’s a reminder to look twice, ask questions, and protect yourself and the people you love.
If you’ve ever believed “it can’t happen to me,” this is one story you need to read.

You’ve seen the truths, now read the full story.

Leadership isn’t always about holding a title or being the loudest voice in the room. Sometimes, it’s simply about the courage to show up, support others, and inspire change.

At The Bravery Lab, we believe real leadership begins the moment one person chooses to uplift another. Every act of encouragement, every shared opportunity, and every moment of guidance creates a ripple effect that can transform lives.

This week, we’re reminded that influence isn’t measured by position it’s measured by impact. Let’s continue to inspire bravery, empower young women, and build a future where every girl and boy knows their voice matters.

What does leadership mean to you? Let us know in the comments.
