We believe that girls and women can become empowered to end cervical cancer globally. We seek fresh and dynamic voices and experiences of mothers (including caregivers) and daughters to collaborate as a team to identify ways to promote HPV vaccination for girls and HPV screening for women. We believe you hold a mirror to our society and can challenge conventional expectations about ways to end cervical cancer.

What happens when communities are empowered to design solutions for their own health?🤔😇

First, the open call, then the designathon.
Guided by the belief that the most impactful and sustainable innovations are created WITH communities, participants developed ideas to increase HPV self-testing uptake and help prevent cervical cancer in Nigeria.

Now, the journey continues...🥰🥳

72 hours. 10 teams. Endless passion for women's health. Meet the winners of the designathon, reimagining HPV self-testing! 👇🏾

🥇 1st Place | Team HerTest ( ₦1,000,000) - Reimagining HPV self-testing as a social experience where a woman and her friends test together in Enugu community. Community, care & sisterhood. 💛

🥈 2nd Place | Team SafeHer (₦800,000)
Leveraging community pharmacists & patent drug vendors across Lagos to put HPV self-testing within every woman's reach. 💊

🥉 3rd Place | Team Eagles (₦600,000)
Meeting women where faith meets community, through churches, mosques & CBOs in Abakaliki. 🙏🏾

🎖️ Consolation Prize was presented to Team Itoju & Team Lavender - ₦300,000 each
