OUR CALLING TO RAISE A WALL, NOT A DOOR, FOR THE GENERATION

We live in a generation where moral walls are falling, and the doors of destruction are wide open. As stewards over children, youth, and young professionals, our divine assignment is to build WALLS of godliness—not DOORS of compromise.
> Nehemiah 2:17 – “Let us build up the wall... that we be no more a reproach.”
Ezekiel 22:30 – “I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge…”
WHAT IS A “WALL”?
A WALL represents strength, stability, and godly resistance.
W – Worshippers of God
> John 4:23-24, Psalm 29:2, Daniel 6:10
They prioritize worship in word, conduct, and lifestyle.
A – Accountable Leaders
> Romans 14:12, 1 Timothy 4:12, Genesis 39:9 (Joseph)
They own their actions and lead with integrity.
L – Loyal to Truth
> Psalm 119:30, 3 John 1:4, Daniel 1:8
They stand by the Word, even under pressure.
L – Lifters of Others
> Galatians 6:2, Philippians 2:4, Esther 4:14
They influence, uplift, and intercede for others.
Biblical Examples:
Daniel – Daniel 6:10, 1:8
Joseph – Genesis 39:2–9, 41:39
Esther – Esther 4:16
Timothy – 2 Timothy 1:5, 2:2
Modern Examples:
Dr. Ben Carson – Raised in adversity, grounded by faith.
Gbile Akani – Models integrity and mentors youth.
Susanna Wesley – Mother of revivalists through godly training.
WHAT IS A “DOOR”?
A DOOR, when corrupted, lets in danger, deceit, and destruction.
D – Disloyal to God
> 1 Samuel 15:23, 2 Timothy 4:10 (Demas), Hebrews 3:12
They abandon spiritual responsibilities.
O – Overcome by Peer Pressure
> Proverbs 1:10, 1 Corinthians 15:33, Galatians 1:10
They follow the crowd, not Christ.
O – Open to Worldly Compromise
> James 4:4, Romans 12:2, 1 John 2:15-17
They merge with the world’s patterns.
R – Rootless in Identity
> Ephesians 4:14, Hosea 4:6, 2 Timothy 3:7
They are tossed about and lack firm convictions.

Rehoboam – 1 Kings 12:13-14
Demas – 2 Timothy 4:10
King Saul – 1 Samuel 15:24-26
OUR MANDATE AS BUILDERS
We are called to raise godly structures, not cultural experiments.
Biblical Models:
Nehemiah – Builder of Walls
> Nehemiah 4:6, 2:17
Rebuilt broken walls and restored dignity.
Hannah – Dedicator of Children
> 1 Samuel 1:11, 1:28
Offered her son for God’s purposes.
Mordecai – Mentor of Destiny
> Esther 2:7, 4:14
Raised Esther into divine positioning.
STRATEGIC TOOLS FOR BUILDING WALL YOUTHS:
1. Model Godliness
> Titus 2:7, Matthew 5:16
2. Teach the Word
> Deuteronomy 6:6-7, 2 Timothy 3:15-17
3. Mentor with Vision
> 2 Timothy 2:2, Proverbs 11:14
4. Discipline with Purpose
> Proverbs 13:24, Hebrews 12:6-11
WHAT ARE YOU RAISING?
Are your efforts building WALLS that protect or DOORS that destroy?
Let us be intentional. God is looking for builders, not bypassers.
> Isaiah 60:18 – “Thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise.”
