She thought it was just another interview, never imagining she had been chosen as our very first LSG Woman of the Month. LSG Foundation

Meet Umu Aisha, a struggling widow raising two children living with sickle cell disease. Despite the challenges she faces, she remains determined to provide for her family with dignity.

Alhamdulillah! We have our LSG Foundation LSG Woman of the Month. ❤️

After receiving several nominations, we shortlisted three amazing women for this month’s empowerment support.

We successfully interviewed two of the nominees. Unfortunately, despite our efforts, we were unable to reach the third nominee because we never received their contact details, and our messages to the person who nominated them have remained unanswered. As time is moving, we had to proceed with the information available to us.

After carefully reviewing each case, we selected the woman whose current circumstances showed the greatest need and whose business has strong potential to support her family.

Congratulations to Umu Aisha, who was nominated by Abosede Eniola

Umu Aisha is a widow living in the University of Ilorin student area. She shared that receiving this grinding machine will help her provide for her children. Because she lives in a busy student community, she believes the business will attract many customers who need pepper, tomatoes, and other food items ground.

By the grace of Allah, we will present the grinding machine to her before the end of the month.

May Allah put barakah in this business, increase her provision, and make it a means of lifting her family. Ameen.

Alhamdulillah! The wait is over.

After months of planning, the Latifat Shamseddin Giwa LSG Foundation is proud to launch the LSG Woman of the Month initiative.

Starting at the end of this month, we will empower one struggling widow or single mother every month with business equipment that will help her earn a steady income and provide for her family. Our first beneficiary, in shaa Allah, will receive a grinding machine.

This initiative is about creating opportunities, restoring dignity, and helping women become financially independent.

A woman I’ve known for quite some time reached out to me today, and honestly, her situation touched me deeply.

She and her husband used to run a business together and seemed to be doing well, but things sadly changed. She has been sent out of her home by her husband since last year October and has been moving from one place to another while family members continue trying to resolve things peacefully.

At the moment, she’s trying to get herself stable again and secure a place to stay while figuring out the next step for her life.

I have personally supported her in my own little way already, but I know sometimes community support can go a long way during difficult seasons.

If you feel led to help in any way, no gesture of kindness is too small. May Allah ease her affairs and reward every helping hand.

FREE TAILORING TRAINING FOR STRUGGLING WOMEN IN ABUJA

We’re excited to announce a beautiful opportunity courtesy of kind-hearted volunteers under the LSG Foundation.

Each of these amazing women will be training two (2) struggling women each in tailoring—completely free!

Eligibility Criteria:

You must truly need this training.

You must be a woman.

Last year, Alhamdulillah, we were able to provide food supplies to 500 struggling fasting Muslims. This year, with Allah’s help and your support, we intend to do even more.

Sadaqah extinguishes sins just as water extinguishes fire. It is among the deeds most beloved to Allah, and its rewards are immeasurable.

All the finalists we've interviewed so far are neither widows nor single moms, even though the post clearly stated that the grant is specifically for single mothers.

We understand that, due to the current economic situation, many married women are also facing challenges. However, at LSG Foundation , our main focus is on supporting widows and single mothers.

This is one of the reasons why social media charity can be exhausting.
