Milestone Reached: UNN Pilot Applications Are Officially Closed. 🎓🔒

Today marks the operational conclusion of student applications for the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) Pilot Phase of The Tuition Project.

We launched this pilot to prove that transparent, zero-leak financial infrastructure could solve the 33.6% student financial dropout crisis across Nigerian universities.

What happens next:
• Final Verification: Our campus coordination desk is completing final multi-layer audits on all submitted portal balance invoices.
• Direct Clearance: Approved student fee tickets will settle directly into official university bursary revenue accounts.
• Transition to TTP 2.0: With the pilot phase concluding, we are expanding our direct-to-institution infrastructure to five additional tertiary institutions nationwide.

To every donor, partner, and student who stood with us during this pilot: thank you for proving that no African scholar should drop out over an unpaid tuition balance.

In 2021, our founder walked away from his degree.

Not because he failed his exams, but because an unpaid tuition portal balance locked him out. For two solid years, he worked on a factory floor and did other manual labor while carrying the heavy label of a “university dropout”.

He fought his way back, taught himself tech & digital skills on a beat-up laptop, and finally graduated from UNN in 2024. But his story shouldn’t be an exception.

Right now across Nigerian public universities, brilliant students are packing their bags and leaving lecture halls for good – some fail to resume for the academic year/session:
• 33.6% of all recorded student dropouts happen strictly because of school fees.

THISDAY recently featured our research, revealing a stark truth across Nigerian higher education: Student loan applications at UNN exploded by 144% in a single session – as 33.6% of dropouts continue to be driven strictly by tuition lockouts.

We’ve always said it at TIDE: Africa doesn’t lack brilliant minds. We lack transparent infrastructure.
