A TINUBU AND SANWO-OLU SUPPORTER THAT TURNED HIS HOUSE IN LEKKI TO A SECRETARIAT.
Every election, without a doubt, has something special about it, and the 2023 election was no different with emotional.
While we had different people display their love for their preferred candidates, the story of a Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu supporter - Emmanuel Amuwo - who turned his apartment in lekki into a secretariat for a group he championed Bola Ahmed Tinubu Sanwo-Olu Project otherwise known as BATSO PROJECT caught my attention.
Starting from the distinct BATSO PROJECT logo design , with half faces of Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu merged together. Exceptionally creative and unique.
A background check showed that it wasn't as though Emmanuel had it all rosy, but he was able to garner support and went on to inaugurate BATSO executives at the secretariat on 3rd of July ,2023 as an image from the inauguration was featured in the dailies - Punch Newspaper.
Findings further revealed that there was a video in circulation where Emmanuel said publicly that he should be held responsible if Tinubu does not perform. In another video, he gave valid reasons why Sanwo-Olu should be re-elected owing to the fact that Sanwo-Olu had performed in his first term, despite the different challenges.
In 2018, while preparing for the 2019 election, Emmanuel came up with Proactive Voluntary Campaign "PVC", an Initiative he used to campaign for the registration and collection of PVC. This gave him access to establish relationship with INEC Lagos and he supported in ensuring a less-stressful PVC collection process.
Emmanuel who has since, been a supporter of Sanwo-Olu first pulled support for him in 2019 when he organised Eko Models Hangout With Sanwo-Olu, an event he used to canvass for support. The program of the said event was prepared alongside the Deputy Governor ,Dr Kadri Obafemi Hamzat who was the Running mate for Sanwo-Olu.
Emmanuel was later in 2019 appointed as a member of the think tank by Mr. Olusegun Dawodu who was the Commissioner for Youth and Social Development till 2023 before the Governor dissolved the cabinet.
The passionate and unrepentant supporter of Sanwo-Olu didn't relent as just a member of think tank, rather, he created another platform called LASGOBIG, where different MDAs engage with the public, thereby creating the needed synergy between the government and the people.
The LASGOBIG event has been done three times and has been a great platform to boost the image of the Sanwo-Olu led administration.
Like never before , Emmanuel got involved more in the 2023 elections and was very active even at the Tinubu-Shettima Sanwo-Olu Independent Campaign Council where he served in the capacity as the Deputy Director New Media. He worked alongside other members of the New Media Directorate to initiate I PLEDGE TO VOTE CAMPAIGN which all the leadership of the ICC participated including Governor Sanwo-Olu and Dr Kadri Obafemi Hamzat when they visited the ICC. The New Media Directorate was no doubt one of the outstanding at ICC.
Still at the ICC, the Director General Mr Tayo Ayinde who is now the Chief of Staff to Governor Sanwo-Olu was impressed in the few meetings Emmanuel anchored and later made him the official anchor of events and meetings at the ICC which he did excellently, sometimes anchoring 6-7 meetings in a day.
My findings also revealed that Emmanuel was appointed as The Coordinator for Nigerian Intellectual for Tinubu -Shettima "NIFT" and the Innauguration of the group was done in the National Assembly Complex Abuja where Emmanuel worked closely with the National Coordinator of the group and was also made to anchor the event.
You might not like everything about Emmanuel, but you cannot deny the fact that he is audacious, smart and forward-thinking. With no iota of doubt, the future looks so bright for Emmanuel.
Nigeria is indeed blessed to have bright minds like Emmanuel.
