Assalamu Alaykum.

Dear Brother & Sisters in Faith,

And so the great month has left us.

After 30 days of fasting, striving, giving and du'a, we are saddened to see its departure.

We hope it leaves us better than it arrived, and that we see many more of it in the future.

We ask Allah (SWT) to accept your deeds and ours - Taqabbal Allahu minna wa minkum.

We look forward to continue to being in touch in the weeks to come and sharing the results of some of our work in Ramadan.

YADUL-ULYA FOUNDATION is a Non-governmental and Non-profit organization
incorporated with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)of Nigeria and registered with theEconomic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC).

The foundation’s objective is to deliver quality assessment, ensure timely collection and effective distribution of zakat and sadaqah funds in the light of the Qur’an and Sunnah.

The foundation is focused at assisting Muslim individuals and businesses in Nigeria, carry out their zakat duties easily and accurately by helping them to understand the concepts and principles governing the calculation of zakat. We are well positioned at reducing the widespread ignorance that has left many Muslims in Nigeria with the perception that they are not eligible to pay zakat and that has resulted into under payment of zakat dues by the feweligible zakat payers.

We are well acquainted with zakat as it relates to the various types of wealth that Muslims in
Nigeria possess. We know the pressing zakat and sadaqah questions and we strive to provide
religiously precise and socially relevant answer.

In response to the inquiries and needs of manypeople, we have developed a model to help Muslims accurately and easily calculate their zakat,and we have reduced this model to an efficient zakat worksheet. It is especially tailored to
the zakat calculation needs of Muslims on salary, the small business owner, the stock market investor, and those with pension plans.

We have equally developed a structure that guarantees that zakat funds are administered professionally and distributed in accordance with authoritative Islamic juristic opinion regarding the divine injunction in the Qur’an and the Sunnah.

We have constituted a zakat management board to co-ordinates effectively the activities of the foundation with respect to quality assessment, timely collection and effective
disbursement of zakat and sadaqah to qualified recipients.

We pray and hope that our effort of becoming a zakat-conscious community comes to fruition,where every Muslim takes zakat as seriously as his or her taxes.
