Democracy feels stronger when everyone has a place, is treated fairly, and can live without fear of being left out. This is the kind of society we hope to keep building.

As we celebrate Pride Month, we stand with intersex persons and continue to call for a future where everyone can live openly, safely, and with dignity. Because everyone deserves to belong.

Art meets advocacy. 🎨 Collective action meets change. ✊
To continue marking World Menstrual Health Day, Intersex Nigeria and all the _Sang Pour Sang_ implementation partners in Abuja, hosted Flow and Tell, an art and advocacy event in Abuja!

Our Program Manager Grace Iho and Program Officer Victoria Abutu vique joined other partners on a session to highlight how menstruation intersects with different experiences and how art can bridge the gap in our conversations.

Bringing together diverse perspectives, we are collaborating intersectionally to amplify the voices of all menstruators.
Our stories flow into action.

No one should be forced to hide who they are to be accepted.

Intersex persons deserve equal rights, access to healthcare without discrimination, legal protection, and communities where they can thrive safely and proudly. Visibility matters. Respect matters. Rights matters.

Creating impact, one step at a time.

We work daily to raise awareness, challenge stigma, amplify intersex voices, and create spaces where intersex persons can connect, learn, and thrive. Through advocacy, community engagement, and support initiatives, we are helping to build a future where intersex people can live openly, safely, and with dignity.

Empowerment, to us, also means creating pathways to financial sustainability, supporting intersex persons to build skills, access opportunities, and move toward greater independence and long-term stability.

This journey is made up of many small but meaningful actions, conversations that shift perspectives, communities that become more inclusive, and individuals who find support, belonging, and opportunities to thrive.

Swipe through to see what empowerment looks like to us and how we continue advancing advocacy, awareness, community support, and sustainable opportunities for intersex persons.

Because real change happens when every voice is valued and every person has the opportunity to thrive.

Pride means many things including; joy, healing, visibility, love and the freedom to exist.

This month, we celebrate people of diverse SOGIESC identity and experience: our stories, strength, and voices. In a world that often overlooks difference, Pride is a reminder that you don’t have to walk alone.

To every person of diverse SOGIESC identity and experience seen or unseen you belong, you matter, and you are worthy of dignity, safety, love and joy.

Happy Pride Month from Intersex Nigeria💛💜🏳️‍⚧️🌈.

Intersex Nigeria is excited to announce the launch of its latest report; "Understanding the Menstrual Health Realities and Gaps of Intersex Persons in Nigeria."

This landmark study provides critical insight into the systemic gaps, healthcare exclusions, and unique menstrual health challenges experienced by intersex individuals in Nigeria.

Grounded in primary research, key informant interviews, and healthcare provider surveys, the report highlights how cultural, social, and institutional norms continue to drive discrimination across health, education, and policy systems.

As the first report of its kind in Nigeria, it serves as both an evidence base and a call to action for inclusive, rights-based menstrual health policies and practices.

Knowledge leads to action.
