FSI has commenced a six-week Fundamentals of Software Testing programme for female students in tertiary institutions across five northern states in Nigeria: Sokoto, Nasarawa, Kano, Katsina, and Bauchi.

The programme is proudly sponsored by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC). At the opening ceremony, Mrs. Bilkisu Kida from the Cybersecurity and Internet Governance Department delivered a keynote address on behalf of the Executive Vice Chairman of the NCC, Dr. Aminu Maida.

The opening ceremony brought together 60 female students selected to participate in the programme. The initiative is designed to bridge the gap between academia and industry while addressing the significant gender gap in technology across Northern Nigeria, which currently stands at approximately 78%.

Through this training, the participants will gain relevant software testing and technology skills, strengthening their employability and preparing them for opportunities within the technology ecosystem. In addition, approximately 10% of successful participants will be offered internship placements, providing them with valuable practical industry experience.

FSI has collaborated with FintechNGR and CIBN to launch a Fintech certification program.

The registration for the April 2026 Certification Examinations has commenced. CIBN's examination portal has been opened to enable candidates to register for the examinations seamlessly.

The examinations are scheduled to be held from Tuesday, April 14, to Friday, April 17, 2026, across global locations. Prospective candidates are to register via the examination portal at:
https://fintech.cibng.org/ The Examinations will be deployed through the Remote Online Proctoring Platform to provide greater flexibility, convenience, and reduced physical interactions throughout the examination process.

Upon registration, candidates would also download the Study Manual at no cost. The portal will remain open until Monday, March 30, 2026, after which it will be closed.
