AFAB International Organization President Engr. Ezeka Paul Calls for International Intervention Mission as the World celebrate international day to end poverty.
The ongoing poverty crisis in Africa has reached alarming levels, prompting urgent calls for international intervention. Engr. Ezeka Paul, President of the AFAB International Organization, has emerged as a vocal advocate for action, emphasizing the need for a coordinated global response to address the dire socioeconomic conditions facing millions of Africans.
Especially in Nigeria, Africa's most populous country, faces significant challenges related to poverty, with over 90 million people living below the national poverty line. The crisis is exacerbated by factors such as economic instability, unemployment, insecurity, and inadequate infrastructure. The COVID-19 pandemic further intensified these issues, leading to increased food insecurity and displacement of vulnerable populations.
During a recent press conference in Umuahia, Abia State capital, Engr. Ezeka Paul outlined several key areas where international support is critically needed:
He stressed the importance of financial aid and investment in sustainable development projects that can provide job opportunities and stimulate economic growth, With poverty closely linked to health outcomes, he called for international organizations to assist in strengthening African's healthcare system, ensuring access to essential services for the impoverished population.
Engr. Paul urges the international community to invest in educational initiatives that focus on skill development, particularly for youth and women, as well as Addressing food insecurity through agricultural support and nutrition programs is essential. Engr. Paul highlighted the need for collaboration with local farmers and organizations to enhance food production and distribution.
