Mental Health: Back to the Basics Program

We’re excited to introduce Tella Halimat
Ayobami as the Moderator for our upcoming session on 2nd August 2025 from 3PM - 5PM WAT on Google Meet.

is a student of Nursing science at Crescent University Abeokuta. She was born and raised in Agbara, Ogun state. She has always been passionate about health and care which is why she developed a strong interest in healthcare (Nursing). Her initial interest was to be a doctor but this changed when she realized she wanted a more hands on role, providing support and hope to patients which led to her first acquisition of a BLS certification and then a PALS.

Her interest in mental health started in 2022, where she had her first training Mental Health fellowship for teens, from being clueless and intrigued about mental health to being a mental health advocate. She’s an Alunmi of the MHF Cohort 4. Currently, she is focused on her dream of becoming a Child and Mental health nurse, She is dedicated to making a difference in the society, giving care that soothes not just physical wounds but emotional wounds.

otherwise known as DR KADESH is a Veterinary doctor and serial
volunteer with a burning passion for Me health, and Mental health advocacy.
He's a W.H.O certified Mental Health and recovery coach with a wealth of advocacy
experience. Being an alumnus of the Global Mental health Fellowship, 2023 cohort with numerous recognitions & certifications to his name, he's affiliated with various mental health
organisations, and is known for preaching the gospel of Mental health on various local and
international platforms.

We’re excited to introduce Cynthia Nnenna Umeh as the Moderator for our upcoming session.

is a communications professional and mental health advocate with a background in International Relations. She currently serves as a Communications Manager, leading awareness campaigns and digital strategies for mental health projects. A 2024 Fellow of the Mental Health Fellowship (MHF), she champions well-being, inclusion, and the SDGs, especially health, gender equality, and reduced inequalities. Passionate about storytelling, she uses media for social change. Her creativity, empathy, and commitment to impact guide all her work.
