If you understand the value of GIAC credentials, you already know why this is worth watching.

Two GIAC certifications. Fully funded. You pay nothing at all.

For experienced cybersecurity professionals, the right certifications can validate specialised expertise, strengthen professional credibility, and open up a different level of career conversation.

That is the kind of opportunity the CyberSafe x SANS Institute AI Security Fellowship is creating.

Applications are open.

Not every helpful tool should know your whole browser life.

Browser extensions can make things easier, faster, and more convenient. But convenience should not come with unnecessary access to your browsing activity, typed information, or personal data.

Before you add any extension, slow down and check what it is asking for. If it wants more access than it needs, that is your sign to pause.

Save this before your next “Add Extension” click, and share it with someone who installs tools without checking permissions.

A quick reminder

Just because it says “fully funded” doesn’t mean it translates to “entry level.”

Why?

That’s exactly what we unpack in this video.

If you’ve been trying to figure out whether the CyberSafe x SANS Institute AI Security Fellowship matches your current level of experience and where you want to go next, this should help you make that call.

If the profile we describe sounds a lot like where you are right now, then you may be much closer to the kind of applicant this fellowship was built for than you think.

Happening now: the second edition of The Privacy Circle.

This time, the conversation is getting even more practical.

Together with dada_kipepeo , a Kenya-based organisation working with girls and young women across digital safety, protection, and community empowerment, we are taking participants through the steps that matter before, during, and after technology-facilitated abuse.

From checking what information about them is already visible online and securing their accounts and devices, to documenting abuse, exploring reporting and content-removal options, and knowing where to seek support, today’s session is focused on giving women practical tools they can use.

The conversation also goes beyond protection. It is about helping women reclaim their digital presence, participate online with greater confidence, and recognise the role collective action can play in creating safer digital spaces.

Your files can be sitting right in front of you and still be completely out of reach.

That is the pressure ransomware creates. It does not always remove your files. Sometimes, it locks them, blocks access, and demands payment before you can use them again.

And that is why preparation matters before panic enters the picture. A proper backup, updated apps, trusted antivirus protection, and caution with unexpected links or attachments can make a huge difference when something goes wrong.

Ransomware is not just a big scary cyber term. It is a reminder that access matters.

Save this so you remember what it means, and share it with someone who is learning cybersecurity one simple explanation at a time.
