Every day, young people face police brutality, harassment, discrimination, and bullying from their peers simply for speaking up, being different, or expressing who they are. No young person should live in fear for using their voice.

Freedom of expression is not a privilege, it is a fundamental human right.

Watch the visual episode, “The Legal Trap: When the Law Leaves a Survivor With No Safe Choice,” featuring our host, Chukwuma Kingsley, and special guest, Esther.

We explore the double trauma survivors face when legal restrictions leave them with no safe options, as well as the emotional and psychological toll of being denied comprehensive reproductive healthcare, including access to safe abortion.

Every great movement starts with a single voice, but it gains strength through collective action and shared commitment.

As we wrap up day two and the finale of the 9th RHNK Pan-African Adolescent & Youth SRHR Scientific Conference, we are reminded that our work in Lagos is not just a project; it is a vital contribution to a continent-wide movement toward equitable reproductive healthcare.

We extend our sincerest appreciation to the visionary partners and co-conveners who make this advocacy possible, sponsors and co-conveners like USAID, UNAIDS, , , United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and many others.

Together, we are transforming data into action, ensuring that institutions and systems across Africa evolve to truly serve the needs of adolescents and young people.

We are at Mombasa, Kenya, for the 9th RHNK Pan-African Adolescent & Youth SRHR Scientific Conference 2026.

As seen in image one, we are proud to present our findings on the barriers to accessing comprehensive SRHR services among female adolescents and young women in Lagos State, Nigeria.

Special recognition goes to our research officer for her tireless dedication and leadership on this project.

If you are in Mombasa, join us this Friday, June 5th, 2026, at 9:55 AM in Hall 2: Baraza 1. As we will be presenting our intervention abstract: "Reducing sexual risk among adolescents and young people through integrated socio-economic empowerment and SRHR education in Lagos State, Nigeria."

We remain committed to advocating for SRHR and reproductive justice until institutions and systems better serve adolescents and young people in Nigeria and across Africa.
