🌍 World Hepatitis Day – July 28, 2025
Theme: “Hepatitis: Let’s Break It Down”
Hepatitis is the inflammation of the liver caused by viruses (A, B, C, D, E) or non‑viral causes like alcohol, medications, or autoimmune disease.
⚠️ Symptoms
Many cases are asymptomatic.
When present: fatigue, nausea, appetite loss, abdominal/joint pain, dark urine, pale stools, jaundice, fever.
🛡️ Prevention & Vaccination
Vaccines for Hepatitis A and B are highly effective, HBV vaccine also prevents HD.
Best practices include sterilized needles, safe s*x, no sharing of razors/toothbrushes, and clean water/food.

Get tested, even if you have no symptoms
Get vaccinated
Support others by encouraging testing and reducing stigma.

By breaking myths, stigma, and systemic barriers, we can eliminate hepatitis and save lives.
