The South African Government in a Statement issued by its Home Affairs Department has given an affirmative Directive to its Missions Abroad , to issue Visas to Verified and Registered Delegates for the AfBA International Conference Holding in Pretoria, South Africa and which is to be hosted by the University of South Africa (UNISA).

A Statement issued by the African Bar Association (AfBA)'s Director of Strategic Communications in Lagos , Nigeria on Tuesday 15th May, 2023 , on this issue states thus :"The Leadership of the African Bar Association (AfBA) thanks the President of the Republic of South Africa , President Cyril Ramaphosa for the Magnanimity of the South African Government and Peoples, in ensuring an easy passage of Delegates coming to Pretoria , South Africa for the International Conference of the African Bar Association (AfBA) , which holds from the 6th of August, to the 10th of August, 2023.

Initiated by Nkafu Arbitration Services, the Cameroon Arbitration Week connects Arbitration and ADR practitioners worldwide for a week of training, presentations and networking.

This year it is happening in Douala and Buea from the 2nd to the 5th of May 2023 under the theme “Arbitration/ADR : important recipe for investment and development”.

The President of the African Bar Association, Barrister Hannibal UWAIFO, will be speaking on the 3rd of May in Douala.

The Cameroon Arbitration Week is an event on Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution in Cameroon which aimed to provide relevant updates on Law and Practice in Arbitration and other ADR mechanisms and also promoting Cameroon as a viable forum for Arbitration and ADR.

The second edition of this event will take place from 2 to 5 May 2023 in Douala and Buea.
