Today, we celebrate International Day of the Girl Child, a day set aside globally to amplify the voices of young girls and shine a spotlight on their rights, potentials, and challenges. This year’s theme, Girls' Vision for the Future, reminds us of the power of your dreams and ambitions. It is a reminder that you are the authors of your own stories, and the future belongs to you.

Girls, you have the power to shape the world you want to live in. You are not just future leaders, but present-day change-makers. But to achieve this, you must first envision the future you want. A future where you have equal opportunities, where your dreams are valued, and your voices are heard. A future where your education is a priority, your health is safeguarded, and your rights are fully protected.

You Can Only Feature in a Future You Envision
What does it mean to envision the future? It means seeing beyond today and picturing a life filled with purpose, passion, and success. It is imagining yourself achieving things that seem beyond reach but are possible through perseverance. It means embracing challenges, knowing that you have the strength and wisdom to overcome them.
