Itire Youth Community Empowerment Initiative (IYCEI) announces Itire Youth Peace Talk 2026

Itire, Lagos State – 8 September 2026

The Itire Youth Community Empowerment Initiative (IYCEI) has officially announced the Itire Youth Peace Talk 2026, scheduled to hold on Monday, 21 September 2026, at the Palace of the Onitire of Itireland.

Convened by the Itire Peace Ambassadors Mr Oluwasegun Michael Omojowo, the programme will bring together youths and community stakeholders to promote dialogue, unity, peaceful coexistence and practical discussions around youth empowerment, employment and community development.

According to the President of Itire Youth Community Empowerment Initiative (IYCEI), King Ogunremi, lasting development must be built on peace and collective responsibility.

The Itire Youth Community Empowerment Initiative (IYCEI) is delighted to announce the formal acceptance by His Royal Majesty, Oba Tajudeen Ishola Odubiyi, Oduburu II, the Onitire of Itireland, of his appointment as the Royal Grand Patron of the Itire Youth Community Empowerment Initiative.
In his official acceptance, the revered monarch pledged his continued support towards the development, peace and progress of the Itire community.

The acceptance represents a significant milestone for Itire Youth Community Empowerment Initiative (IYCEI) and strengthens the organisation’s commitment to promoting youth empowerment, education, skills development, community peace, responsible leadership and sustainable progress across Itireland.

The President of Itire Youth Community Empowerment Initiative (IYCEI), King Ogunremi, expressed his profound gratitude to the monarch for accepting the appointment and for demonstrating continued commitment to the wellbeing and advancement of young people in Itire Community

King Ogunremi stated:

“On behalf of the executives, members and young people represented by the Itire Youth Community Empowerment Initiative, I express our profound gratitude to His Royal Majesty, Oba Tajudeen Ishola Odubiyi, Oduburu II, for graciously accepting the appointment as our Royal Grand Patron.”

He added:

Itire Youth Community Empowerment Initiative Appoints HRM Oba Tajudeen Ishola Odubiyi as Royal Grand Patron

Itire, Mushin LGA, Lagos State | 16 July 2026

The Itire Youth Community Empowerment Initiative (IYCEI) has formally conferred the distinguished title of Royal Grand Patron on His Royal Majesty, Oba Tajudeen Ishola Odubiyi, the Onitire of Itireland, in recognition of his outstanding leadership, unwavering commitment to peace, and steadfast support for youth development and community transformation.

The investiture ceremony took place this evening at the Palace of the Onitire of Itireland, where the official Letter of Appointment and Certificate of Appointment were presented to the monarch during a special gathering attended by traditional leaders, security agencies and community stakeholders.

In a symbolic demonstration of the strong partnership between traditional institutions and law enforcement, the Certificate of Appointment was presented to His Royal Majesty by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Itire Police Division, in the presence of the palace cabinet chiefs, executives of the King Ogunremi Foundation (KOF), the Chief Security Officer (CSO) to the Onitire, and members of the Itire Youth Community Empowerment Initiativet.

The appointment recognises the pivotal role played by the monarch in fostering unity, peace and sustainable development within Itireland. Under his leadership, the palace has provided invaluable support to community-based initiatives, including the successful delivery of the Drug Abuse Awareness Campaign (DAAC ITIRE 2026), which brought together government agencies,
traditional institutions, academic partners, faith leaders and residents to address drug abuse among young people through prevention, education and empowerment.

Speaking on the telephone, King Ogunremi, President of the Itire Youth Community Empowerment Initiative and founder of the King Ogunremi Foundation, described the appointment as a historic milestone.

"His Royal Majesty has consistently demonstrated visionary leadership and an unwavering commitment to the progress of Itireland. His support for youth development, peace-building and community empowerment has inspired many initiatives that are transforming lives. We are honoured to appoint him as the Royal Grand Patron of Itire Youth Community Empowerment Initiative (IYCEI) and look forward to his continued guidance as we build a stronger future for our community."

In his role as Royal Grand Patron, His Royal Majesty will serve as the principal traditional adviser and ambassador of the Initiative, providing strategic guidance, promoting collaboration with stakeholders, supporting youth-focused programmes and championing initiatives that preserve the cultural heritage and advance the social and economic development of Itireland.

The Itire Youth Community Empowerment Initiative expressed its profound appreciation to the Itire Police Division, the palace cabinet chiefs, the King Ogunremi Foundation and all stakeholders whose presence underscored the shared commitment to peace, security and community development.

Itire Youth Community Empowerment Initiative appoints chief security officer to the Onitire of Itireland as Itire Peace Ambassador

The Itire Youth Community Empowerment Initiative (IYCEI) has continued its commitment to promoting peace, unity, and community development with the formal appointment of Mr. Omojowo Oluwasegun Michael, Chief Security Officer (CSO) to His Royal Majesty, Oba Tajudeen Ishola Odubiyi, the Onitire of Itireland, as an Itire Peace Ambassador.

The investiture ceremony took place on Monday, 29 June 2026, at the Palace of the Onitire of Itireland, under the supervision and royal endorsement of His Royal Majesty, Oba Tajudeen Ishola Odubiyi.

During the ceremony, the President of the Itire Youth Community Empowerment Initiative (IYCEI), King Ogunremi, presented the official Certificate of Appointment to Mr. Omojowo Oluwasegun Michael in recognition of his dedication to community safety, peacebuilding, and his unwavering service in supporting the security and wellbeing of the Itire Kingdom.

Speaking at the presentation, King Ogunremi stated that the Peace Ambassador programme is designed to recognise individuals who demonstrate exemplary leadership, integrity, and commitment to promoting peaceful coexistence and community development. He noted that Mr. Omojowo's professionalism and service to the traditional institution have made him a worthy recipient of this honour.
His Royal Majesty, Oba Tajudeen Ishola Odubiyi, commended the initiative for recognising individuals who contribute to peace and stability within the community. The monarch reaffirmed his commitment to supporting programmes that foster youth development, community security, and sustainable progress across Itire.
In his acceptance remarks, Mr. Omojowo Oluwasegun Michael expressed gratitude to the leadership of IYCEI and His Royal Majesty for the confidence reposed in him. He pledged to uphold the ideals of the Peace Ambassador programme by continuing to promote peace, unity, security, and positive engagement among the youth and residents of Itire.
