Amir of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at Nigeria Receives Atfal During Agege Dila Atfal Day Celebration

As part of activities marking the 2026 Atfal Day and Picnic of Majlis Atfal-ul-Ahmadiyya Agege Dila, members of the Majlis paid a courtesy visit to the Amir of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at Nigeria, Alhaji Barrister Alatoye Folorunso Abdul Azeez, at the National Headquarters of the Jama'at on 19 June 2026.

The visit formed a key part of the annual celebration and provided an opportunity for the Atfal to interact directly with the spiritual leader of the Jama'at in Nigeria.

During the interactive session, Amir Sahib delivered valuable guidance to the Atfal, emphasizing the importance of making the Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) their role model. He explained that the Holy Prophet (saw) demonstrated exemplary character from childhood and that anyone who follows his example will attain success in life.

Amir Sahib further advised the Atfal to hold firmly to Allah, noting that the Holy Prophet (saw) relied completely on Allah throughout his life and was guided by Him. He reminded the children that periods of hardship are tests of faith from Allah and encouraged them to prioritize the teachings of the Holy Qur'an in all aspects of life.

Among the key points highlighted were the need to remain humble in all dealings, stay attached to the Nizam-e-Jama'at, appreciate the worldwide brotherhood and unity of Ahmadiyyat, pursue both religious and secular education diligently, support parents by attending Ta'leem and educational activities, hold firmly to the institution of Khilafat, engage in Tabligh, and develop the spirit of sacrifice, recognizing that everything ultimately belongs to Allah.

Speaking on the importance of knowledge, Amir Sahib explained that true knowledge includes abstaining from what does not belong to one and acting with wisdom (Hikmah). He also cited the example of the Holy Prophet (saw), who, despite having no formal certificate, surpassed all others in wisdom, character, and leadership.

Responding to the question, "How is the Jama'at beneficial to us?", Amir Sahib explained that the Jama'at provides the opportunity to learn about Allah, Islam, and the Prophets, while obedience to the Imam of the Age remains a distinguishing feature of Ahmadis.

He concluded by encouraging the Atfal to regularly write letters to Hazrat Khalifatul Masih (aba) and referred to Huzoor's guidance regarding educational and career choices.

The visit was described as highly inspiring and beneficial, leaving the Atfal with valuable lessons on faith, obedience, education, humility, service, and attachment to Khilafat and the Jama'at.
