The President of the Nigerian-Indonesian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (NICCI), Mr. Ishmael Balogun, paid a courtesy visit to NACCIMA at the Abuja Corporate Office on Thursday, 6th August 2026.

The NICCI delegation was warmly received by the National President of NACCIMA, Engr. (Dr.) Jani Ibrahim, FNSE, FAEng, mni, OON, as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration between NACCIMA and NICCI and optimize the opportunities available to members engaged in business between Nigeria and Indonesia.

During the meeting, discussions centred on areas of mutual interest, with particular emphasis on expanding opportunities for trade, investment, and private sector cooperation. The NICCI President formally briefed and invited NACCIMA to partner with NICCI on the 5th Edition of the Nigerian-Indonesian Investment and Trade Forum (NIITF) 2026, themed "Building Continents, Building Prosperity: Solidifying Nigerian-Indonesian Economic Partnership for Strategic Alliances and Shared Growth."

The delegation highlighted the unique "3-in-1" business package designed for participating delegates, which combines:
* Trade Expo Indonesia from 14th–18th October 2026;
* A rest day on 19th October 2026;
* The Nigerian-Indonesian Investment and Trade Forum (NIITF) on 20th–21st October 2026 in Jakarta; and
* A business tourism experience in Bali from 22nd–25th October 2026.
The integrated programme is designed to provide participants with opportunities for international business networking, market access, investment promotion, and cultural exchange, while fostering stronger commercial ties between Nigeria and Indonesia.

Engr. (Dr.) Jani Ibrahim commended NICCI for its commitment to promoting economic cooperation between both countries. He reaffirmed NACCIMA's readiness to collaborate with strategic partners whose initiatives create new opportunities for Nigerian businesses, exporters, and investors.

Further discussions also focused on empowering NACCIMA members to access Indonesia's sovereign investment opportunities, attract strategic investments into Nigeria, and facilitate the participation of Indonesian investors in business-to-business (B2B) engagements with Nigerian enterprises, among other areas of collaboration.

The courtesy visit concluded with both organisations reaffirming their commitment to strengthening institutional collaboration and working together to increase trade, investment, and private sector engagement between Nigeria and Indonesia. They also encouraged Nigerian businesses to take advantage of the opportunities presented by the upcoming NIITF 2026, the Trade Expo Indonesia, and the Bali business tourism programme.
