WORLD MENSTRUAL HYGIENE DAY 2026

💜 Young Productive Mind Initiatives (YPMI) – Pad A Girl Project 2026 💜

Today, the world is raising awareness about menstrual hygiene and advocating for a future where no girl is limited because of her period.

At Young Productive Mind Initiatives (YPMI), we believe menstrual hygiene is not a luxury, it is a necessity. Every girl deserves access to proper menstrual hygiene education, sanitary products, dignity, confidence, and the opportunity to stay in school without shame or stigma.

As part of our Pad A Girl Project 2026, we had planned school outreaches for this week, especially today, to commemorate World Menstrual Hygiene Day. However, the public holiday affected our original plans, and next week already has a very tight schedule for our team.

Still, our commitment to the girl child remains strong and unwavering.

We are excited to announce our upcoming school outreaches:

📍 June 10, 2026 – Abeokuta Grammar School, Ogun State
📍 June 17, 2026– Ifako Ijaye Comprehensive High School, Lagos State

During these visits, we will be engaging the students through:
✨ Menstrual hygiene education
✨ Interactive discussions and games
✨ Reproductive health awareness
✨ Distribution of sanitary pads
✨ Confidence and self-esteem building sessions

Sadly, many girls still miss school during their periods because they cannot afford sanitary pads or lack proper menstrual hygiene knowledge. This affects their education, confidence, health, and future opportunities.

At YPMI, we are passionate about changing this narrative one girl, one school, and one community at a time.

We sincerely appreciate everyone who has contributed and supported this project so far, especially Wheel of Hope Rising Foundation, our amazing friends, family, donors, volunteers, and partners. Happy Children’s Day to every amazing child! 🎉

Today, we celebrate the dreams, talents, creativity, and bright future of our children. They are the leaders of tomorrow, and it is our responsibility to nurture, protect, guide, and empower them to become all God has destined them to be.

As we celebrate, we also remember the kidnapped children in Ogbomosho and stand in prayer for their swift and safe return home. Our hearts are with their families during this difficult time. 🙏🏽

May every child grow in love, wisdom, safety, and purpose. Together, we can build a world where every child is valued and protected.

RAISING BOYS INTO PURPOSE-DRIVEN MEN: A Note to Every Parent on International Day of the Boy Child

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Mentors,

The boy child needs our intentional support today more than ever.

Too often, society whispers to our young boys that they must always be tough, that "boys will be boys," or that they should just figure out life on their own. But the reality is that boys don't just need rules they need routes. They need guidance, emotional safe spaces, and consistent mentorship to successfully navigate the journey from boyhood to impactful manhood.

As we celebrate the International Day of the Boy Child 2026 today, May 16, under the powerful global theme, “Boys to Men: Adopting Good Habits and Attitudes, "we want to remind every parent of the massive role you play in this transformation.

At Young Productive Mind Initiatives (YPMI), our vision is to nurture young minds so they grow into productive, responsible citizens who contribute meaningfully to their communities and nations. But we cannot do this without you.

3 Ways We Can Help Our Boys Build Better Habits Today:

Be Their Safe Space: Encourage your boys to express their emotions, ask questions, and speak up when they face challenges like academic pressure, anxiety, or low self-esteem. Let's teach them that vulnerability is a strength.

Provide Intentional Mentorship: Connect them with positive role models. Boys model what they see. When they see consistency, respect, and integrity in action, they replicate it.

Normalize Peer Support: Teach them to lift each other up rather than compete aggressively. Let's raise a generation of boys who understand the true power of brotherhood and mutual support.

🌍 PAD A GIRL 2026 International Menstrual Hygiene Day (May 28th)

Empowering girls, one pad at a time.

Today started with something special a beautiful connection with Wheel of Hope Rising Foundation, joining hands with Young Productive Mind Initiative (YPMI). And it stirred a simple thought: why wait to share something this important?

This May, we’ll be visiting two schools to:
✨ Educate girls on menstrual hygiene
✨ Provide sanitary pads to support their dignity and confidence

But we can’t do it alone.
