The Nigeria Lions Charity Foundation (NLCF) has recorded a significant boost in support as Lions Clubs across District 404A2 turned out in impressive numbers for the Historic Month of July 2026–2027 NLCF Subscription Campaign, reaffirming their commitment to advancing humanitarian service in Nigeria.

Announcing the outcome of the campaign, the Chairperson of the 2026–2027 NLCF Committee, Lion Eric Uma, NLCF, speaking on behalf of the District Governor, Lion Engr. Edward Aigbedion, NLCF, PMJF, FMIN, FNSE, PhD, applauded the participating clubs for their dedication to strengthening the Foundation through voluntary subscriptions.

At the close of the month-long campaign, Makurdi Heritage Lions Club, led by its President, Lion Samuel Ageh, NLCF, emerged as the overall winner. Wuse Abuja Lions Club finished as the first runner-up, while Abuja Golden Lions Club placed second runner-up, following outstanding participation in the subscription drive.

Congratulating the winning clubs and every participating club, Lion Uma described the level of participation as a clear demonstration of the confidence Lions have in the Nigerian Lions Clubs Foundation as the funding arm for impactful humanitarian projects across the country.

He noted that every subscription received strengthens the Foundation's capacity to support life-changing interventions in healthcare, education, youth empowerment, hunger relief, disaster response, environmental sustainability and community development.

According to him, the growing support for the Foundation reflects the collective resolve of Lions to invest in sustainable service initiatives that improve lives and bring hope to vulnerable communities.

Lion Uma further emphasized that the success of the July campaign should not be measured solely by the emergence of winners, but by the increasing commitment of clubs and individual Lions to building a stronger and more sustainable Foundation capable of expanding the reach of Lions service nationwide.

He urged more clubs and members to sustain the momentum by making regular subscriptions to the Nigerian Lions Clubs Foundation, stressing that every contribution, regardless of its size, plays a vital role in advancing the Foundation's humanitarian mission.
