PRESS STATEMENT

For eight years, I openly criticized the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari- a government that inflicted untold hardship and left the nation gasping for breath. However, what we are witnessing today under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is far worse. This administration has turned governance into a propaganda theatre, weaponizing the media to deceive gullible followers while over 250 million Nigerians endure the pain of failed policies and reckless reforms.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) as a political party has failed completely in governance. There is nothing tangible to show that this administration has alleviated the suffering of the masses. Instead, it has remained deaf to the cries of the people-focused solely on clinging to power by all means, enriching themselves through looting and embezzlement of public funds meant for national development.

In just two years, Nigeria has become more divided along ethnic, tribal, and religious lines than ever before. Insecurity, bloodshed, and lawlessness have escalated across every region. The hope of the common man has been trampled upon, and the once vibrant dream of a united, progressive Nigeria is fading fast.

To the Nigerian masses, the message is clear: these individuals in power do not represent your interests. Your responsibility as citizens is to get your Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) ready and prepare your minds to vote out this corrupt and inhumane regime in the 2027 general elections.

And to the All Progressives Congress-led government and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu-take this as a warning: the will of the people cannot be rigged forever. In 2027, it will be “RIG AND DIE.”

May Nigeria survive these dark days and rise united once again.
God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

As a human and civil rights activist in Nigeria, I have carried the pain of so many on my shoulders. I have, in recent times, stopped lending my civic voice as frequently-not because the fire in me has died, but because every single day, unspeakable evil unfolds in this country unchecked. Nothing wounds my spirit more than witnessing the blatant violation of people’s rights, or watching the common wealth that belongs to us all being looted and shared among a select few entrusted to lead us. Nigeria has become a heartbreaking spectacle-an unending theatre of injustice that plays out by day and by night.

It is no wonder that almost every Nigerian youth now utters that silent prayer: “May Nigeria never happen to us.” This is the tragic reality we live in-a nation where faith in the system has been brutally eroded, and hope feels like a dying ember.

Watching Phyna’s videos about the horrific accident her sister had with a Dangote truck shook me to my core. I broke down emotionally. I was afraid-deeply afraid-because her sister’s life was forever altered in an instant. Both her legs, amputated from the thighs. Tell me, what compensation can ever cover the cost of such pain? What settlement could restore the dignity, the dreams, the simple joy of walking again?

My heart is heavy, my prayers deep, for her and her family in these unspeakably difficult times. And yet, I cannot help but reflect on the deeper truth-until justice, accountability, and humanity take root in this nation, stories like this will continue to scar our collective conscience.

CONDOLENCE MESSAGE ON THE PASSING OF PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI, GCFR

I extend my heartfelt condolences to the family of the late President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, to the Government and people of Katsina State, and to the entire nation of Nigeria on his passing.

While I was a vocal and consistent critic of his government and many of its policies, I recognize that leadership — especially at the highest level — comes with immense responsibility, pressure, and sacrifice. History will remember him in many ways, and it is now left to time and posterity to tell the fuller story of his life and legacy.

Today, I stand not as a critic, but as a fellow Nigerian, offering prayers for comfort to his loved ones and all who mourn his loss. May his soul find peace, and may our nation find unity and wisdom as we reflect on the journey we have traveled together.

May President Muhammadu Buhari rest in peace.

Signed

I was deeply saddened and heartbroken upon hearing the devastating news of the killing of over 200 people in Benue State, including men, women, and children, allegedly by Fulani herdsmen. My heart goes out to the affected community during this time of unimaginable grief and loss.

I strongly urge all well-meaning Nigerians to speak up against this tragic injustice. I also call on authorities at the local, state, and federal levels to take immediate and decisive action to bring these senseless killings to an end.

My heartfelt condolences go to the families of the victims, the affected communities, and the entire people of Benue State. May peace and justice prevail.
