I spent yesterday with people so dear to my heart. I grew up a 4squarian and my last local assembly was Foursquare Gospel Church, Palmgrove, Lagos.
What an experience. The bond we shared is unique and I have not had such bond before and after there.
Well, I am still on a journey and will be here along time so, I look forward to connecting so deeply again with a Christ Family like that.
So, we went to visit my dear Sis Rose( aka mummy Doctor). She lost her husband last year, December. A man whose kindness on all levels was louder than his voice, Late Professor Canice Okoli.
Rest on sir.
When my former pastor called to inform me about the visit, my heart leaped for joy.
I have lots of lessons to unpack from this visit and I will share them over the week.
Firstly for me, is about our pastor, Rev. Maxwell C. Godwin.
Waoh, he is indeed a man of God. He practically taught me ministry. I realised he was my first seminary before I attended one.
He gave me many ministry opportunities and tough trainings as well . So, if you cannot endure tough trainings and corrections even when it seems hard, no matter how wonderful your pastor is, he won't be able to train you.
Rev. Max like we fondly call him made us fast like tomorrow no dey. He is a reader per excellence. He saw me before I knew me.
I remembered when I went to tell him I was going to the seminary, he smiled and said, " I knew you have a calling to the 5 fold ministry since. I was just waiting for you to see it yourself and accept it. If I have told you, it won't be good for you".
He took my form and signed it as one of my referees. And he supported me all through in all ramifications.
I will continue it tomorrow.
If you have or had a good pastor, please, thank them. They are real gifts of God to humanity.
