*ENDURE FOR CHRIST SAKE*

1 Peter 2:20-25
[20] *For what credit is it if, when you are beaten for your faults, you take it patiently? But when you do good and suffer, if you take it patiently, this is commendable before God.*

If you suffer for wrong doing, what glory is there? But just as Jesus the just anr righteous, suffered not for His sins, for ours, in like manner endure persecution even in the face of doing good.

[21] *For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps:*
[22] *“Who committed no sin, Nor was deceit found in His mouth”;*
[23] *who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously;*
[24] *who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.*
[25] *For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.*

Note this revelation you man not have considered before;

He took this for us, and in it is our healing... It goes further, anytime you're being persecuted for doing good or doing His will, you're partaking in His stripes, and your body, your living (your life) will be healed

*Prayers:* Father, help me mature enough, strong enough to suffer for good doing without seeking recompense

*DECLARATION:* I am a partaker in His stripes

WHERE IS TRULY YOUR LOVE?

John 21:15
[15] *So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?” He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” He said to him, “Feed My lambs.”*

This new year, don't let fear of the unknown, hope for duplex, desire for large congregation, longing for new life , new car distract you from your mission;

1 John 2:15-17
[15] *Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.*
[16] *For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.*
[17] *And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.*

Finally;

James 4:4-5
[4] *Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.*

Don't forget your identity, you're not of this world

[5] *Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, “The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously”?*

*WHAT YOU DO WHEN YOU HAVE NOT' DEFINES YOUR LOVE*

Lord, if my business can just prosper,

Lord, if you can just give me an apartment,

Lord, if you can just give us an auditorium

Lord, if you can just give me a child,

Lord, if you can just give me my own house,

Lord, if I can just have a car,

Lord, if you can only provide that job,

Lord, if you can just heal me,

Lord, if you can only save me from this debt,

Lord, if you can lift me up in my family,

Lord, if I can just make it,

Lord, if you can just give me a spouse,

Lord, if you can give me new set of clothes,

Lord, if I can only change my phone...

If this is what you're waiting for before you express your Love for Christ who gave all (without holding anything back) for you, then, you don't love Him.

From that place you are, show your love to Him.

*Prayers:* Open my eyes to your love Lord my Love

*Declaration:* I'll begin to act, work and show Christ's love from now

*MONEY WORSHIP*

It's almost a culture in Africa perhaps because of the prevalence of poverty in the land that people respect those with material acquisition more than those without.
This is the case now in Christian gatherings, in churches and even in families.

John 11:35
[35] *Jesus wept.*

Just one person died that Jesus in fact still resurrected, yet, the Lord wept...

There's genocide in Nigeria, but the Lagos, Abuja churches, and other currently peaceful locations doesn't seem to sufficiently reflect how mercilessly children are being butchered and those alive, living in fear.

We still CELEBRATE New auditoria, and material expansion... Aren't we supposed to reflect this sadness and make our priority discuss geared towards;

1) Effective evangelism and not publicity?

2) insecurity/Christian persecutions and killings?

When one rejoices, we all rejoice, when one sorrows, we all sorrow...

We don't pray this enters Lagos, is it then we'll stand to cry like those in the north. If this was somehow against Islam, they'll all be in solidarity! Just look at how they (Nigerian Muslims) stood with the far away palestinian Muslims, how much more if it's here in Nigeria... Think about that! Do we love ourselves? Remember the lessons of the lockdown, buildings were temporarily rendered useless; because as at now, there's still no proactive measures to prevent this as the government currently seem helpless and clueless.

We shouldn't be afraid, however, we should love enough those who are in the midst of terror and act in all the capacity we can.

*Prayers:* Father, touch the heart of Christians in the southwest of Nigeria and let them rise as they should
