It’s ***depreventionday2024 and the conversation around su***de especially among the faith has been one shrouded with shame and stigma. Remember,Suicide prevention involves supporting those who are struggling, remembering those we have lost, and caring for those affected by the loss. It’s about recognizing the complex emotional experiences of those left behind and acknowledging the profound impact on loved ones and communities. We must approach this sensitive topic with empathy, understanding that mental health challenges are real and multifaceted. Our goal is to provide support, foster hope, and remind everyone that help is available.

In all these scenarios and for all these people we can change the narrative by ensuring that the knowledge of Gods love and worth of a soul is emphasized. While there maybe questions we don’t have answers to. We are sure about Gods love for us and for every one of his children.

Saw this thread and thought to bring it to this page. When we think of God solving our problems, it’s either we think of an unwilling participant just wondering when we’ll get our life together and ignoring us in our mess but that’s not who he is.

He is very willing to be with us in that problem, in that process, in that cycle. Even when we’re distant or avoidant.

The theme for is Movement. How are you taking literal strides for the mental health movement. I believe all bodies that can move should move, our bodies and minds will thank us for it. I believe movement is not just restricted to bodies but our minds mov, so do our emotions. Allow free flow and expression this week and beyond!!

A gentle reminder for you this week. One way to prioritize your mind health is by speaking to professionals about it. You don’t have to go through something before speaking with a counselor and here at BMH, we’re willing and ready for you.

Also, there’s a new episode up ✨✨✨. Episodes are released weekly (every Friday 🤭). In this episode, we talk about the psychodynamic theory in psychology and how that can be helpful to us in our daily lives.
