The King Ogunremi Foundation proudly announces that the innovative Sponsored Haircut Voucher System, created by King Ogunremi, has been officially registered and recognised by the Nigerian Copyright Commission (NCC) as a protected intellectual property. This certification formally identifies King Ogunremi as the author and copyright owner of the voucher’s concept, design, and operational structure.

The Sponsored Haircut Voucher System is a first-of-its-kind social enterprise model designed to provide free haircuts to school children from low-income families while empowering local barbers across Nigeria through brand sponsorship and community partnerships. The initiative not only promotes education and confidence among children but also strengthens the informal economy by generating sustainable income opportunities for barbers.

This copyright recognition marks a historic milestone for community-driven innovation in Nigeria. It celebrates African originality and the power of social creativity to transform communities. As we are set to give free haircuts to school children of families with low income in Nigeria and also empower local barbershops and barbers through the free barbering vouchers

40 local barbershops will participate in the Back to School project and 2000 school children will benefit from the free haircuts in five areas under surulere zone
