Waniyon F. A Jacob Appointed as Director of Operations & Logistics
The Lagos Beach Cleaners Initiative is proud to welcome Waniyon F. A Jacob to our team as the new Director of Operations & Logistics.
In this strategic role, Waniyon will spearhead the planning, ex*****on, and risk management of our coastal sanitation projects. He is a dynamic Project Manager, Educator, and SDG Advocate with a robust background in nonprofit management and sustainable development.
This appointment aligns perfectly with our mission to professionalize our operations. A graduate of Lagos State University (B.A. Education), Waniyon brings invaluable "boots-on-the-ground" experience to the role. He served two terms as the Project Coordinator for Campus Recycling Champions (LASU), and his commitment to the environment is further evidenced by his voluntary work with the Green Janitors Sustainable Initiative and other environmental organizations.
Beyond his environmental advocacy, Waniyon is a formidable administrator and seasoned youth leader with a proven capacity to manage complex projects. He currently serves as a Member of the Lagos State Youth Parliament (Badagry Constituency 1), where he chairs the House Committee on Education. Additionally, he serves as the Project Manager at Tech Now Global, Team Lead of Isaac Sewanu Educational Foundation (ISEF) and Secretary of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Badagry West Local Branch.
His diverse experience ranging from serving as a YOMA UNICEF Ambassador and Lagos State Youth Ambassador for Badagry Division, to leading the Badagry Literacy Club, demonstrates his unique ability to engage stakeholders and drive organizational growth.
We are confident that Waniyonβs expertise in operations and his passion for community development will be instrumental as we execute our roadmap for a cleaner Lagos.
