Traffickers do not just look for people; they prey on vulnerability. Poverty, desperation, and a lack of opportunity are the breeding grounds for exploitation, and tragically, young girls and marginalized women are always the prime targets.

When a young girl is pulled out of school due to a lack of resources, she becomes dangerously exposed to those who promise a "better life" but deliver modern-day slavery.

Today is the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons. At AEHHF, our mandate of "Rights. Justice. Action." means we believe in fighting exploitation from the root.

How do we fight back? With empowerment.

Every time we provide a notebook, distribute sanitary pads to keep a girl in school, or teach a young woman a vocational skill, we are building an impenetrable fortress around her. An educated, financially literate girl can recognize deceit, demand her rights, and secure her own independence.

Today is World Hepatitis Day, and at AEHHF, our health advocacy message to every woman is simple: Preventative healthcare is your right, not a luxury.

Hepatitis B and C are viral infections that can severely damage the liver, and they are often completely silent in their early stages. You cannot fight what you do not know is there.

To build physically stronger, more resilient communities, we must shift our focus from just treating illnesses to preventing them. Early testing is the ultimate shield. It allows for early detection, effective management, and the protection of your family.

True self-care starts with basic health and dignity. 🌸🩸

When we hear "self-care," we often think of spa days or relaxation. But for millions of young girls in our communities, self-care means something much more fundamental: having access to clean water, accurate health information, and sanitary products during their menstrual cycle.

Today is International Self-Care Day, and at AEHHF, we are spotlighting menstrual hygiene because a period should never put a pause on a girl’s education!

Here are three practical self-care tips every young girl should know:
1️⃣ Change Regularly: Change your sanitary pad every 4 to 6 hours, even if your flow is light, to prevent infections and stay fresh.
2️⃣ Stay Clean: Always wash your hands before and after changing your pad, and wash your body daily with clean water and mild soap.
3️⃣ Dispose Safely: Wrap used pads properly and dispose of them in a bin. Never flush them down the toilet!

Through our ongoing sanitary pad distribution initiatives, AEHHF is actively fighting period poverty. We are committed to removing the barriers that keep girls out of school, ensuring they remain confident, comfortable, and focused on their futures.

Health, Hope, and Community: Taking Action at Kaura Market! 🌍🩺

At AEHHF, we believe that true community development happens on the ground! To celebrate the opening of our new Abuja office, we took to the streets on Saturday, June 27, 2026, for a massive health activation at Kaura Market.

Despite a little rain, the energy was incredible! Through music, dance, and public sensitization, we connected deeply with the community. But empowerment begins with physical health, which is why our medical team stepped in to provide free, crucial interventions:

* Over 50 individuals received free blood pressure screenings.
* Free blood sugar tests were conducted for interested participants.
* Sanitary pads and panty liners were distributed to support female hygiene.

More importantly, our team identified critical cases—including over six individuals with high blood pressure and an infant requiring attention for an eye sore—and we are actively following up to ensure they receive the necessary care.

Thank you to the amazing Kaura Market women for the heartwarming reception and gratitude. This is just the beginning of our work in Abuja! 💜

We are officially in the FCT! 🏢🎉

AEHHF is thrilled to announce a major milestone in our mission to bridge the inequality gap! On Saturday, June 27, 2026, we officially launched our new branch office in Abuja.

Our new home is located at Suite HF194, Kaura Market, opposite the Prince and Princess Estate in Gudu. By embedding our office directly within the bustling market community, we are ensuring that our team remains accessible, visible, and deeply connected to the people we serve.

Full operations and service delivery officially commenced on July 1, 2026!

This central location will serve as our new coordination hub for humanitarian activities, capacity-building workshops, and health advocacy programs in the northern region.

A massive thank you to our strategic partners, dedicated volunteers, and the welcoming Kaura Market community for making this launch a resounding success. The work continues, and we are ready to serve.

During our recent outreach at the Damilu Health Facility in Adamawa State, we sat down with mothers to discuss a growing, silent threat: the rising tide of drug abuse in our neighborhoods. We realized that combating this epidemic doesn't just happen in clinics; it happens in our living rooms.

To the Mothers: You are the ultimate first line of defense. Keep the conversations with your children open. Pay attention to the subtle changes. Your vigilant guidance and love are the strongest shields against the pressure of the streets.

To the Youth: Your intellect, creativity, and drive are the bedrock of tomorrow. True independence and strength come from a healthy mind and a clear vision, not a temporary escape that steals your potential.

In many of our communities, the sudden loss of a spouse is not just an emotional tragedy; it is an immediate economic crisis. Overnight, the entire weight of providing, protecting, and raising the next generation falls entirely on the shoulders of one woman.

When resources dry up, the girl child is often the first to be pulled out of the classroom.

Today is International Widows Day. At AEHHF, we refuse to let these resilient women carry this burden alone. We know that the fastest way to secure a young girl’s education is to financially empower the mother raising her.

When you provide a widow with the resources and support she needs to stabilize her household, her daughter stays in school. Her son stays off the streets. The entire community becomes stronger.

At Albertiqs Extra Helping Hands Foundation (AEHHF), we believe that essential healthcare should never be a luxury.To celebrate World Oral Health Day, we partnered with the Dental Unit of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) to host a massive Free Dental Outreach on March 28.

Our focus was clear: providing critical dental care and education to women and low-income earners in our community who face challenges accessing proper facilities.

The Impact:
✨ Expert oral health education lectures delivered by LUTH professionals.
✨ Free dental examinations, scaling, and polishing for attendees.
✨ Free toothpaste distributed to the first 150 women to help them maintain healthy habits at home.

Thank you to the incredible medical team at LUTH and our dedicated volunteers for making this outreach a huge success.
