Every learning journey is different. Every story matters.

As we count down to the ADSLP Cohort 1 Graduation, we’re taking a moment to hear directly from some of the young Africans who have been part of this journey.

Over the past 12 weeks, participants have gone through AI and digital skills training and mentorship, building knowledge, confidence, and new possibilities for what comes next.

Today, we’re putting the spotlight on three participant experiences.

Their stories remind us that skills development is not just about completing a programme. It is about creating access, building capability, and giving young people a stronger foundation for the future of work.

Swipe through to hear their experiences and see what the ADSLP journey has meant to them.

And this Saturday, we celebrate them and the entire Cohort 1.

What does it take to make digital skills education more accessible?

Twelve weeks ago, over 100 young Africans from 10+ African countries began their journey with the AI Digital Skills Literacy Program (ADSLP) Cohort 1.

At the heart of the programme was a simple but important goal: to make access to AI and digital skills education more possible for young Africans.

Each participant received a US$500 Digital Skills Study Grant, helping reduce the financial barriers that can prevent young people from accessing quality digital skills education.

Over the past 12 weeks, participants have gone through intensive AI Digital Skills training and mentorship, building knowledge and capabilities that can support their journey into the digital economy.

Now, this Saturday, we celebrate what they have accomplished.

100+ young Africans.
10+ African countries.
12 weeks of learning and mentorship.
US$500 in Digital Skills Study Grants per participant.

These numbers represent more than statistics. They represent young people gaining access, building skills, and preparing for what comes next.

And this Saturday, we celebrate the young Africans who turned that access into 12 weeks of learning, training and mentorship.

The countdown continues. 🎓

🎓 4 DAYS TO GO!

Twelve weeks ago, over 100 young Africans from across the continent began their journey with the AI Digital Skills Literacy Program (ADSLP) Cohort 1.

Through weeks of learning, training, and mentorship, they have been building their knowledge and strengthening their digital skills.

Now, 4 days from today, we get to celebrate an important milestone in that journey.

Over 100 young Africans are getting ready to graduate from the AI Digital Skills Literacy Program.

But graduation is more than a ceremony. It is a moment to recognize the work, growth, and possibilities ahead.

This week, we’ll be sharing their journey, the impact of the programme, and what comes next.

4 days to go. The countdown begins. 🎓

No single organization can solve Africa’s workforce challenges alone.

Preparing young people for the future of work requires more than skills training. It requires strong partnerships that connect education, work-based learning, industry, innovation, and opportunity.

At YouthUp Global, we believe sustainable workforce development is built through collaboration. That’s why we work with governments, development partners, educational institutions, corporate organizations, NGOs, foundations, and industry leaders to design initiatives that create lasting impact.

When organizations bring their expertise, networks, and resources together, we can build stronger pathways to employment, entrepreneurship, and economic participation for young Africans.

The future of work is a shared responsibility—and meaningful partnerships are how we get there.

📩 Let’s co-create workforce development solutions that prepare young Africans for the future of work.

Recruitment is only the beginning.

Finding the right candidate is important, but helping that talent grow, perform, and contribute to your organization’s success is what creates long-term value.

As businesses grow, workforce needs become more complex. Organizations need more than access to qualified professionals—they need workforce solutions that simplify recruitment, strengthen talent management, and support sustainable growth.

That’s where Utidia comes in.

We partner with organizations to provide Talent Placement and Talent Management solutions that connect employers with work-ready professionals while supporting them beyond the hiring process.

Because building a stronger workforce isn’t just about filling vacancies.

It’s about helping people and organizations succeed together.

The future of work demands a different approach to workforce development.

Organizations can no longer afford to wait until talent is “job-ready.” They have an opportunity to help shape that journey from the very beginning.

That’s why apprenticeship should be more than a placement programme. It should be a strategic partnership between organizations and workforce development institutions to prepare professionals with practical experience, industry exposure, and the capabilities today’s workplace requires.

Through the Work4Xperience Digital Apprenticeship Programme, YouthUp Global is inviting organizations to co-design structured apprenticeship cohorts that align with their workforce needs.

Whether you’re a corporate organization, SME, government agency, educational institution, NGO, professional firm, or industry association, partnering with us means contributing to the development of Africa’s future workforce while strengthening your own talent pipeline.

Together, we can create apprenticeship experiences that move young professionals from learning to practical application—and ultimately, to meaningful careers.

📩 Partner with YouthUp Global to co-design a Work4Xperience Digital Apprenticeship Cohort.

The conversation around youth skills must go beyond training.

Across Africa, more young people are gaining access to skills than ever before. Yet many still struggle to translate those skills into meaningful work, entrepreneurship, or sustainable livelihoods.

The question is no longer “Are we training enough young people?”

The real question is:

Are we creating enough pathways for young people to apply those skills and earn from them?

At YouthUp Global, we believe the future of workforce development lies in connecting learning with practical experience, proof of work, talent visibility, and access to opportunities.

That’s the conversation we’re reflecting on this World Youth Skills Day.

The business wasn’t short of ideas. It was short of people to execute them.

The strategy was clear.

The opportunities were there.

Clients were interested.

But the to-do list kept growing.

Marketing needed attention.
Customer requests were waiting.
Research was unfinished.
Administrative tasks piled up.

Not because the business lacked ambition—but because there simply weren’t enough hands to keep up.

This is a challenge many growing businesses face. Growth creates momentum, but without the right ex*****on support, that momentum can quickly become overwhelm.

The businesses that scale aren’t always the ones with the best ideas.

They’re the ones with the capacity to execute consistently.

That’s where structured workforce support makes the difference.

Through Work4Xperience, businesses can submit digital tasks, access capable talent, and keep projects moving while contributing to the development of Africa’s future workforce.

Because sometimes, the next step in growing your business isn’t doing more yourself.

It’s having the right people helping you get it done.

Nobody starts with experience. Everyone starts with an opportunity.

Every experienced professional was once someone’s first hire.

Before the promotions, the impressive CVs, and the years of expertise, there was a moment when someone chose to believe in their potential.

Today, too many young people are caught in the same cycle.

“You need experience to get the job.”

“But I need the job to gain experience.”

It’s a cycle that has discouraged countless talented graduates and aspiring professionals—not because they lack ability, but because they lack access to meaningful opportunities to apply what they’ve learned.

The future of work demands more than certificates. It demands practical experience, confidence, collaboration, and proof that you can solve real-world problems.

That’s why Work4Xperience was created.

Not just to help young people learn, but to help them gain practical experience, build professional confidence, and become workforce-ready through real projects and structured digital apprenticeships.

Because careers aren’t built by waiting for experience.

They’re built by being given the opportunity to create it.

If you’re ready to move from learning to doing, this is your chance.
