As much as it looked like I was just reading the 2nd lesson yesterday… it was deeper than that for me.
Because I know where I’m coming from… I know the seasons I’ve had to survive.
Hebrews 11:1–12 is not just scripture—it is a reality I’ve had to lean on.
There were times I didn’t have proof… no clear signs… no guarantees…
but somehow, I kept moving, believing that God had already gone ahead of me.
Standing there yesterday, I wasn’t just reading about faith… I was remembering my own journey with it.
And one thing is clear—if God has brought me this far by faith, then the rest of the journey will still require the same.

HOLY WEEK IS A REMINDER WE MUST NEVER FORGET

This week is not just another week on the calendar.
It is a week that reminds us of sacrifice, love, obedience, and victory.

Holy Week teaches us something powerful about life and faith.

There was a time when it looked like darkness had won.
There was a time when betrayal happened.
There was a time when people mocked, doubted, and walked away.
There was a time when the cross looked like the end.

But heaven already knew it was not the end.

Sometimes in our own lives, we pass through seasons that look like Good Friday moments — pain, confusion, delay, and silence.

People may think your story is finished.
Situations may look hopeless.
Doors may close.

But Holy Week reminds us of this truth:

God specializes in turning what looks like an ending into a new beginning.

The cross looked like defeat.
But it became victory.

The tomb looked final.
But it became a testimony.

This is why as believers, especially during this sacred season, we must remember:

Your present situation is not the final chapter.
God is still writing your story.

Some things may die in your life — fear, doubt, old struggles — but what God has ordained for you will rise again in a better form.

So during this Holy Week: Reflect deeply.
Pray sincerely.
Forgive freely.
Trust God completely.

Because resurrection is not just something we celebrate —
it is something we experience in our lives when God steps in.

There Are Times You Don’t Need to Explain Yourself

One of the hardest things in life is when people misunderstand you, and you feel the urge to defend yourself. But the story of Mary teaches us something deep: sometimes God does not require explanation—He requires obedience.

In the account recorded in the Gospel of Luke and the Gospel of Matthew, Mary received a message that would change her life forever. She became pregnant by the Holy Spirit. Now imagine the situation:
A young woman

Not yet living with her husband

Suddenly pregnant

In that culture, this could destroy her reputation. People could talk. People could assume things.

Yet the Bible never records Mary going around explaining herself to everyone.

She didn’t start defending herself in the streets.

She didn’t begin arguments with people.

She didn’t try to prove her innocence.

Instead, she simply said:
“Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word.” (Luke 1:38)

Mary understood something many people today struggle with:

Not every situation requires explanation. Some situations require trust in God.

Even Joseph misunderstood her at first (Matthew 1:19). But Mary didn’t force him to believe her. She stayed quiet, and God Himself defended her by speaking to Joseph in a dream.

That is a sermon point right there:
If God is the one who sent you, God will be the one to defend you.

There are people today:
Explaining their calling
Explaining their progress
Explaining their blessings
Explaining their decisions

But sometimes, the best thing to do is:
Stay quiet and follow what God told you.
Because when God is involved, time will explain what words cannot explain.

“Mary didn’t explain the miracle; she carried it.”
And eventually, the same thing people might have questioned became the salvation of the world.

He Is Risen — And Today, We Meet with Him in Galilee!

“He is not here: for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay… then go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and behold, He goeth before you into Galilee.” – Matthew 28:6

Today, we don’t just celebrate a resurrection — we respond to an invitation.
An invitation to "meet with Christ in Galilee" — a place of fresh encounters, renewed purpose, and restored hope.

As we enjoy this public holiday, let us:
"Eat with joy, drink with gratitude, rest in His peace, and walk boldly in His victory".
May our hearts burn afresh as we meet the risen Christ and hear His voice again.

He Rose, So You Can Rise Too

Today isn't just about what happened over 2,000 years ago—it's about what’s possible today.

Jesus rose from the grave. That’s not just history. That’s prophecy fulfilled. That’s power unleashed. That’s hope re-ignited.

Whatever has felt buried in your life—your dreams, your joy, your strength, your purpose—can rise again.
Easter is your reminder that resurrection is real.

You can bounce back.
You can start over.
You can heal.
You can win.

Because He lives, you can face tomorrow.
And even more, you can take back everything the grave tried to keep buried.

Sermon Meditations: Reflecting on the Word, One Sunday at a Time

Restoration is Coming, But Are You Ready?

Today’s sermon pulled from two powerful passages—Amos 9:11-15 and Luke 17:22-37—and together, they stirred something deep in me. It was a message of hope, but also a strong wake-up call.

Amos 9 speaks of restoration. God promises to “raise up the fallen tent of David” and “plant His people on their own land, never to be uprooted again.” That imagery is beautiful—God rebuilding what was broken, restoring what was lost, and blessing His people abundantly.

But then we landed in Luke 17, where Jesus speaks of His return. It won’t come with signs and wonders we can track like the weather—it’ll be sudden. Like lightning. Like the days of Noah and Lot—people were busy living life, unaware that judgment was near.

And I thought: Am I only waiting for restoration, or am I also preparing for His return?

What the Sermon Stirred in Me Today:

1. God is a Restorer
- No matter what we’ve lost—joy, opportunities, relationships—God is able to restore. Amos 9:14 says, “They shall rebuild the ruined cities and inhabit them.” There’s hope in that.

2. But Restoration Isn’t a License to Relax
- The same God who promises blessings also warns us to stay alert. Luke 17:30 says, “So will it be on the day when the Son of Man is revealed.” It’ll happen suddenly.

3. Don’t Get Too Comfortable in a Perishing World
- The people in Noah’s and Lot’s time were caught off guard because they were too entangled in daily life. The sermon reminded me that it’s easy to get so busy chasing success that we forget eternity is at stake.

My Takeaway Today
Yes, God will restore. He is rebuilding broken walls in our lives. But while we wait for His blessings, we must also watch for His return. The real restoration is not just about land, wealth, or peace—it’s about being found faithful when the Master returns.

Jehovah
Jesus Christ
Holy Michael
Heavenly Lord, I pray this minute that you should help me to live expectantly, to be ready for Your restoration and be alert for Your return in Jesus Name ( Amen 🙏 )

Today’s Episode on Bible Figures Re-Examined: Cain – A Lesson in Handling Rejection

Cain is often remembered as the first murderer, but let’s go deeper—his real downfall wasn’t murder. It was how he handled rejection.

In Genesis 4:3-7, Cain and Abel both made sacrifices to God, but Abel’s was accepted, and Cain’s was rejected. Instead of asking “What can I do better?”, Cain allowed jealousy and bitterness to consume him. He had the chance to try again, but his pride wouldn’t let him.

God even gave him a warning: “If you do what is right, will you not be accepted?” (Genesis 4:7). But Cain didn’t listen. Instead of improving, he eliminated the competition.

How often do we respond like Cain?
❌ Do we let rejection make us better, or do we let it turn to resentment?

❌ Do we compare ourselves to others instead of working on our own growth?

❌ Do we take correction, or do we see it as an attack?

Cain’s story is a warning: Rejection is not the enemy. Our response to it is.

Today's Sermon Meditations: Reflecting on the Word, One Sunday at a Time

When Faith is Tested, Who Do You Bow To?
Today’s sermon hit differently. The preacher took us through Daniel 6:1-24—the famous story of Daniel in the lions’ den—and tied it powerfully with James 4:1-12. As I listened, one question kept ringing in my heart: What do I do when my faith is tested?

Daniel was a man of integrity, promoted by King Darius because of his excellent spirit. But as always, success attracts enemies. His fellow officials couldn’t find any fault in him—except his faith. So, they set him up, manipulating the king into signing a decree that forbade prayer to any god except the king himself. Imagine being told you can no longer pray!

Yet, Daniel didn’t flinch. He didn’t hide. He went straight to his room, opened his windows as usual, and prayed—just like he always did (Daniel 6:10). And for that, he was thrown into the lions’ den.

At that point in the sermon, I had to pause and ask myself:

What would I have done?

Would I have closed my windows? Prayed in secret? Found a “wise” compromise? If I’m being honest, I don’t know. But Daniel’s faithfulness reminded me of James 4:7, which says: "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."

Lessons That Stood Out to Me Today
Faith Will Always Be Tested:

1. The preacher said something that struck me: "The higher God lifts you, the more people will try to pull you down." It was true for Daniel, and it’s true for us. If you’re truly walking with God, don’t expect an easy road. But remember James 4:4—friendship with the world means enmity with God. Choose your side.

2. Compromise is Subtle but Deadly

The easy way out would have been for Daniel to pray in secret. After all, God sees the heart, right? But faith isn’t just about what we believe—it’s about what we do when belief is inconvenient. James 4:8 reminds us, "Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you." Faith demands action. Also remember the song "nearer my God to thee"

The Mercy of God: A Beacon of Hope

In the pages of the Bible, we find countless stories of individuals who experienced the transformative power of God’s mercy. One such story is that of blind BARTIMAEUS.

Bartimaeus was a man who sat by the roadside, his world shrouded in darkness, begging for help from passersby. But one day, he heard that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by. Desperate for a change, he cried out, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!" Despite being rebuked by those around him, Bartimaeus persisted, his faith unwavering. And in that moment, Jesus stopped and called him forward. With compassion, Jesus asked what he wanted, and Bartimaeus replied, "Rabbi, I want to see." Moved by his faith, Jesus restored his sight, telling him, "Your faith has made you well."

This story reminds us that God's mercy is always within reach, no matter our situation. Like Bartimaeus, we may face challenges that seem insurmountable, but our cries for mercy never go unheard by God. His love and compassion are boundless, and He is always ready to extend His mercy to those who seek Him with a sincere heart.

As we gather today for the Mercy or Seekers Day service, let us approach God with the same faith that Bartimaeus had. Let us believe that His mercy is available to us, no matter what we are facing. Whether we are seeking healing, guidance, or breakthrough, God's mercy is more than enough to meet our needs.

Come with expectation, come with faith, and let the mercy of God find you today. Just as He did for Bartimaeus, He can turn your situation around and fill your life with His grace and favor. Trust in Him, and let His mercy guide your steps.
