Savvy is for young professionals seeking to be part of the new generation of impact entrepreneurs.
Available in 111 languages, the Savvy program was created to help at least 100,000 unemployed professionals around the world transition into entrepreneurship as a way to reduce global unemployment that the COVID-19 pandemic and the recent macroeconomic downturn have broadened. Savvy does this by equipping them with the relevant knowledge, skills, resources, and support network to build sustainable
, innovative, and profitable impact-driven businesses. So far, we’ve selected and trained over 11,000 individuals in 168 countries, who have gone on to build 6,000+ businesses across diverse sectors. Every year, Savvy awards $3,000 to 3 Savvy Fellows through the Savvy Prize, which recognizes and supports Fellows who are solving some of the world's most pressing problems through innovative and sustainable ways. By 2030, we hope to have trained and supported 100,000+ Fellows to build successful businesses—directly employing 1,000,000+ individuals; creating wealth for themselves and those they employ, and improving the economy of their nations (and the world). For 12-32 weeks, participants are trained in business development, business communications, and product design. While learning, they take interactive quizzes to test their understanding. They are also offered mentorship from experienced entrepreneurs, to have a better understanding of their chosen industry. Backed by the Roddenberry Foundation, the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation, the International Telecommunication Union, and Because International, Savvy has been recognized as one of the most impactful and scalable innovations in education by HundrED.org.

FROM OUR FOUNDER:
Last year, I was hired by a Netherlands-based edtech company, funded by the Dutch government, to scale their operations. Their mission was to teach young people how to code. With my background as a software engineer and software entrepreneur, I stepped in as Academy Director, eager to understand the challenges students faced.
On my very first day, I sat down with the Sales Team to uncover the biggest friction point in onboarding new learners. One thing immediately stood out: many students couldn’t even get started because they didn’t own a laptop.
I decided to experience the learning journey myself by joining all the Google Meet classes. What I saw was troubling—students would log in, then disappear abruptly. When I reached out to them, the truth became clear: they weren’t leaving because they wanted to. They were being forced out by poor internet connectivity, making it nearly impossible to learn consistently.
Digging deeper, I reviewed the academy’s records and found that in the cohort before I joined, 80 students had enrolled, but only 6 managed to graduate. That number didn’t sit right with me. So, I called up the students who had dropped out. Their reasons echoed a common theme: learning to code felt dry, intimidating, and disengaging. Frustration pushed them out before they could make real progress.
As I expanded the program to new countries, another challenge arose. Many of our students didn’t speak English as their first language. Since all our classes were taught in English, they struggled to keep up, and many more dropped out as a result.
At that point, it became obvious: if we wanted to build a truly global edtech solution, it had to be engaging, multilingual, and accessible without depending on laptops or reliable internet. Out of this realization, Efiwe was born—a platform designed to break down those barriers and make coding education available to anyone, anywhere.
So how does Efiwe make this possible?
Efiwe is a mobile-first platform, which means students can learn to code using only their smartphone — no laptop, no extra software. And because it’s powered by lightweight, on-device AI models, learners can keep practicing even without an internet connection.
Instead of passively watching tutorials, students master coding by doing. They take on interactive challenges, build real websites, and receive instant feedback, hints, and code diagnosis whenever they get stuck. With hundreds of gamified exercises, the experience feels less like a classroom and more like a game — fun, rewarding, and highly engaging. To make learning even more inclusive, instructions and feedback are available in 33 languages, opening the door for learners across borders.
But here’s where Efiwe truly stands apart: its adaptive intelligence. Our AI doesn’t just correct mistakes — it learns from each student’s progress and tailors the journey to their unique pace. When a learner completes a challenge, Efiwe analyzes their approach and adjusts how the next concept is introduced, ensuring they never feel rushed or left behind.
When errors do happen, Efiwe prioritizes them intelligently. Instead of overwhelming learners with every issue, it highlights the most important ones, helping them focus on what really matters. Whether it’s a missing semicolon or a complex logic error, Efiwe breaks it down step by step until they understand.
And the guidance goes even further. By predicting the most relevant hints based on the challenge difficulty and the learner’s past struggles, Efiwe provides just the right amount of help — enough to push them forward without simply giving away the answer.
In short, Efiwe doesn’t just track progress — it grows with the learner. The more they practice, the better it understands their strengths and weaknesses, adapting in real time to keep them challenged, motivated, and moving forward.
With Efiwe, learning to code is simple, fast, and empowering. Just open efiwe.com on your smartphone—no downloads needed—choose from 33 languages, and dive straight into your first coding challenge. Guided by an AI tutor that checks every line of code, diagnoses mistakes, and offers hints, you learn by doing, watching your project grow step by step into a fully styled website. You can keep going even offline, while the AI adapts to your pace and learning style.
By the end, you’re not just earning points and earning a Completion certificate—you’re building a real website you can showcase with confidence.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many have lost their jobs and are now living in an uncertain world. Savvy Fellowship was launched to equip passionate and brilliant individuals with the necessary knowledge and skill that they need to start their own impact-driven business and succeed as entrepreneurs.
Are you passionate about solving some of Africa's most pressing problems through innovation? Have you ever wanted to build your own impact-driven business, but didn't know how to? Do you own an early-stage business and you want to grow and scale your impact into new markets or verticals? Then, Savvy Fellowship is looking for you. Savvy is a virtual Fellowship program for aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs.
Savvy is 12 weeks of e-learning and assessment. You will learn everything from ideation to scaling. At the end of the program, you will learn how to:
A. Identify your ideal target customer, and build a product or service that exceeds their expectations.
B. Make your solution stand out from competing or substitute solutions in the market.
C. Draft a solid go-to-market strategy, revenue model, and customer acquisition strategy.
D. Optimize your business operations, delegate, and build a winning team.
E. Identify the right legal structure for your business, raise capital for your business, and forge strong strategic partnerships.
After 12 weeks, you’ll receive a Certificate of Completion to proudly share with your professional network.
E-Learning: Savvy Fellowship kicks off with a rigorous 12-weeks e-learning experience. As a Savvy Fellow, you will get to learn everything from ideation to venture scaling, including how to start, build, and scale an impact venture. Using visual presentations, we’ll help you answer all the relevant questions you need to kickstart that amazing impact venture, gain early traction, achieve product-market fit, and scale into newer markets. Some of the things you’ll learn during the program are ‘understanding your customer’, ‘building a product or service that effectively solves their key challenges’, and ‘effectively positioning your solution in the market.’ Savvy is for every impact entrepreneur, no matter what stage your venture is.
Assessment: During the 12 weeks of learning, unlearning, and relearning, you can test your understanding by taking our weekly quizzes. The quizzes are a combination of multiple choices, Yes or No, and True or False. Assessments are the best way to identify your strengths and areas of weaknesses. Knowing your weaknesses helps you work effectively on them.
Simultaneous Mentorship: While learning, you’re offered mentorship as well, from entrepreneurs who have built post-revenue businesses in diverse sectors, which is a great way to have a better understanding of your industry. The Savvy mentorship team includes over 50 changemakers from 20 countries, with a combined experience of over 200 years. Our peer-to-peer mentorship program helps Fellows learn from each other, as they ask questions, and have other Fellows help answer them.
Life-long Community: “Once a Savvy Fellow, always a Savvy Fellow.” Savvy isn’t just a 12-weeks learning, assessment, and mentorship program, it’s a life-long entrepreneurial learning process. After the Fellowship program, you can constantly access your Savvy Fellowship account and have access to our weekly updated resources, in the form of entrepreneurial tips, nuggets, and opportunities.
