Isaiah 43:18-19 (NIV):
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. [19] See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”

This is a call to focus on the new things that God is doing in our lives.

Friends,by dwelling on the past, we deny ourselves the opportunity to experience the new things that God is doing. The past, with its failures and disappointments, can hold us back from experiencing the fullness of God's blessings. God encourages us to let go of the past and to embrace the new things He is doing in our lives.

As we move forward this year ,let us trust in God's promise to make a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. Let us also embrace the new things that He is doing in and around our lives, and let us step into the future with hope, faith, and anticipation.

Good morning lovelies and blessed day to y'all ❤️🙏🏿

Confidence in Approaching God.

The concept of confidence, particularly in terms of faith and spirituality, is an intriguing one.

It's not about self-assurance or arrogance, but about a deep-seated belief and trust. This notion of confidence is beautifully stated In 1 John 5:14,
which provides an immense source of comfort and assurance to believers. It reads:

"This is the confidence we have in approaching God:

That if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us."

This is a powerful message of faith and trust in God which asserts that with the right mindset, we can approach God with confidence, knowing that our prayers and desires align with his will.

Understanding Confidence in Faith:

When we talk about confidence in approaching God, it doesn't mean a presumptuous or demanding attitude. Instead, it's about maintaining a humble yet hopeful disposition, knowing that God is listening.

It's about having the courage to express our needs, desires, and fears to God, fully trusting that He is there, ready to listen and respond.

This kind of confidence is grounded in faith and love, and not in our own abilities or righteousness.

Asking According to His Will:

"if we ask anything according to his will"

It signifies that our prayers and requests to God should not be self-serving or contrary to His plans but rather , our prayers should align with God's will and His divine plan for us.

This implies understanding and accepting that God's will may not always align with our own desires, but trusting that His plan is ultimately for our good.

The Assurance that He Hears Us:

"he hears us."

This statement is not just about God being aware of our prayers. It's about Him actively listening, understanding, and responding to our needs.

This assurance adds a layer of confidence to our faith, reminding us that we are not alone, that our prayers are not in vain, and that our faith is not unfounded.

In conclusion, 1 John 5:14 is not just a verse in the Bible, but a profound statement on confidence, faith, and trust in God.

It reassures us of God's active presence in our lives, encourages us to align our desires with His will, and bolsters our confidence in approaching Him with our prayers and requests.

As we navigate through life this week and as the year winds up, May this serve as a comforting reminder of the power of faith and confidence in God in Jesus name 🙏

Happy new week lovelies.
