Many young people are told to wait their turn.

Wait until you are older.
Wait until you have money.
Wait until you have connections.
Wait until someone permits you to speak.

But policies on education, healthcare, safety, digital access, and opportunities are already shaping our lives today.

Inclusive policies become possible when adolescents and young people are not only counted in statistics, but recognised as partners in shaping the decisions that affect their lives.

The MATASA Project did not just come to an end, it also gave us a deeper understanding of the population we are committed to.

Through the perspective of one of our Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) Raymond Idoko we gained valuable insight into what young people need to thrive and reach their full potential. Listening to their experiences reminded us that meaningful change begins with understanding the realities of the communities we serve.

These lessons have strengthened our commitment to our motto, “Nurturing Africa’s Future.” They continue to guide how we listen, learn, and design interventions that respond to the real needs of young people.

The project may have ended, but the knowledge it has left us with will continue to shape the work we do.

We had the pleasure of hosting the Executive Director and team from the Initiative for Youth Change and Development in Nigeria (IYCDN) to discuss a potential partnership aimed at expanding our health outreach efforts among high-risk populations.

The meeting focused on exploring opportunities for collaboration, strengthening our collective impact, and ensuring that more vulnerable communities have access to quality health information and services. We look forward to the possibilities this partnership holds and the positive change we can create together.
