The YouthUp Skill Acquisition Programme is proof of this vision. In just one month, youth from Kuje gained practical digital skills, built confidence, collaborated on solutions, and discovered the power of technology to create opportunities.

This journey was recently highlighted on Arise News, amplifying what we already know, that investing in young people is one of the surest paths to building a sustainable future.

Our mission remains the same: to fight poverty by equipping youth with employable and entrepreneurial skills.

The YouthUp Graduation Ceremony was a resounding success, with an impressive turnout and unforgettable moments. Our students did not just graduate, they owned the stage with brilliant presentations and insightful responses to the panelists’ questions. 💡👏

✨ From Learning to Leadership: The YouthUp Journey ✨

What started as an idea to equip young people with the digital and entrepreneurial skills to thrive in today’s world has grown into a powerful journey of growth, innovation, and resilience.

Over the past weeks, our participants have:
💻 Mastered core digital skills in Web development , Digital Marketing, Graphics Design and Mobile app development including productivity tools to online collaboration.
🤖 Explored emerging technologies and how they shape the future.
📊 Gained entrepreneurial insight, problem-solving, pitching, and teamwork.
🎨 Built confidence through creative projects and real-world presentations.
🚀 Learned to communicate ideas with clarity and impact.

Along the way, they were inspired through special masterclasses on Business Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and AI as a Tool broadening their vision of what’s possible.

📚 On Monday, they faced their skills-based exams with courage and excellence.
📝 By Saturday 8:00 pm, they’ll submit their presentation slides.
🎤 And this Sunday, they take the stage for group presentations and graduation.

🔥 Top groups and individuals will be recognised with amazing prizes and awards.

But beyond certificates and gifts, this milestone is about something bigger, which is ; proving that with the right skills, support, and community, our young people can shape the future of work and innovation in Africa. 🌍✨

The YouthUp Skill Acquisition Programme 2.0 is now open for nominations!

This free training, organized by Jewels Trust Fund, will empower young people aged 16 to 21 (who are not yet in university) with in-demand skills like:
Digital Marketing,
Graphics Design,
Mobile App Development and
Web development.

We invite schools, religious institutions, and community leaders to nominate eligible candidates.

Pick up a nomination form and submit before July 20th 2025. Let’s empower our youth for a brighter digital future!
