A functional youth structure is not built on noise or confrontation — it is built on coordination, responsibility, and inclusion.

When youths are organized and informed, communities benefit from:
• Better communication
• Reduced conflict
• Stronger development advocacy
• Respectful engagement with leadership

Media plays a powerful role in this process. What we share, how we share it, and when we share it can either build trust or create division.

Kokori Youth United (KYU) believes that dialogue, order, and unity remain the strongest tools for sustainable progress.

In light of recent developments within our community, Kokori Youth United (KYU) reiterates its commitment to peace, unity, and constructive engagement.

The voices featured in this video reflect the genuine concerns and lived experiences of youths and community members who seek inclusion, fairness, and responsible leadership. These expressions are shared in the spirit of dialogue and community progress.

KYU believes that a thriving community is one where its youths are heard, respected, and meaningfully involved in decisions that shape their future. Our actions remain guided by lawful conduct, mutual respect, and the collective interest of Kokori.

🎄 SEASON’S GREETINGS FROM KOKORI YOUTH UNITED (KYU)

In deep gratitude to Almighty God for the gift pof life and preservation throughout the year, Kokori Youth United (KYU) humbly extends warm Christmas greetings to our highly revered elders, fathers and mothers, traditional custodians, and the entire youths of Kokori Community.

As we commemorate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, we pray that this sacred season ushers in divine peace, sound health, unity of purpose, and abundant blessings upon every household in Kokori. May God’s wisdom continue to guide our leaders, strengthen our elders, and inspire the youths to walk in righteousness, responsibility, and service to the community.

We reaffirm our unwavering commitment to peaceful coexistence, respect for tradition, and constructive engagement, as we continue to uphold the values that promote harmony, security, and sustainable development in Kokori.

On 23rd December 2025, the Executive Council of Kokori Youth United (KYU), in line with its commitment to community welfare and traditional respect, carried out a humanitarian visit to the elders of Kokori Community.

The visit covered two significant traditional institutions:
• The Okarorho of Kokori (Oldest Man of the Community)
• The Eghweya of Kokori (Oldest Woman of the Community)

During the visit, food items including bags of rice and groundnut oil were presented as a gesture of solidarity, appreciation, and support, following recent community events and consultations.

The elders offered prayers and blessings for the youths of Kokori, the leadership of KYU, and the peace, unity, and progress of the community at large.

This engagement reflects KYU’s respect for tradition, commitment to peaceful coexistence, and responsibility to community development.

Kokori Youth United (KYU) Executive Council paid a solidarity and humanitarian visit to Chief Edafe French, who is currently receiving medical care following the recent attack in our community.

The visit was to express our collective concern, stand in unity with the victim and his family, and offer support during this difficult time. KYU remains committed to peace, justice, and the protection of lives and livelihoods within Kokori.

We continue to call on relevant authorities to ensure the safety of our people and prevent a recurrence of such incidents.
