The SWYAF was founded in 2006 in the belief that strengthening of youths in the Southwest region will bring about a new direction for socio-political change in the region and Nigeria at large,it is grassroots non-profit youth forum.It is a forum formed by purpose-driven youths',made up of people of likes minds of the younger generation that have been exposed to leadership positions in their variou
s higher institutions in the past,coupled with their sound political background and democratic culture. The forum's primary purpose is to promote our stunt democracy,rule of law and principles of good governance.The SWYAF is working towards building of bridges for success and prosperity in the Southwest region and Nigeria at large. SWYAF is growing its team and its campaign to support the tidal wave of young people who want to get involved in politics and seize the power of the youth to create a change in our society.It is dedicated to building the political power and clout of the millennial generation by mobilizing and campaign for good governance and turning out social changers,by making policymaker and politicians pay attention to youth and the issues they care about once in office.. The forum will also encourage exchange of cultural knowledge and to maintain and generate friendship among Southwest states.Most importantly,the SWYAF intends to campaign for the growth of our fast growing democracy,support and mobilize for the interest of the masses.
