RESCUE FUTURE GENERATION CHARITY INITIATIVE (RFGI) RADIO PROGRAMME

Rescue Future Generation Charity Initiative (RFGI), in partnership with Pride FM Nigeria, Gusau, held a live radio programme aimed at informing the public about our just concluded projects and initiatives.

The programme also focused on civic education, creating awareness about citizens’ rights and encouraging members of the public to actively engage with and hold their leaders accountable.

As a live interactive programme, listeners had the opportunity to call in, ask questions, share their views, and make valuable contributions to the discussion.

Through platforms like this, RFGI continues to promote informed citizenship, civic participation, accountability, and good governance within our communities.

Successful Implementation of the Gummi Youth Accountability Tea Event

Alhamdulillah! The Power of Youth and Justice Movement (PYJ) under Rescue future Generation charity initiative ( RFG ), successfully implemented the Gummi Youth Accountability Tea Event under the Zamfara Youth Civic Engagement and Leadership Programme.

The event brought together young people and community stakeholders to discuss the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act 2011, public budget tracking, public project monitoring, and the role of youth in promoting transparency, accountability, and good governance.

We sincerely appreciate the Nigeria Youth Futures Fund (NYFF) for funding and supporting this initiative. We also thank our facilitators, community leaders, security agencies, volunteers, participants, and partners for their invaluable contributions.

At PYJ, we remain committed to empowering young people to become active citizens and champions of accountable governance.

Stakeholders' Engagement Town Hall Meeting Successfully Held in Zamfara Central Senatorial District

Alhamdulillah! Following the successful commencement of our Stakeholders' Engagement Town Hall Meetings in Zamfara North Senatorial District, the Grassroots Youth Accountability Watch Network (GAW) successfully convened its second Stakeholders' Engagement Town Hall Meeting in Zamfara Central Senatorial District, alongside the Gusau Youth Accountability Tea Event.

The event brought together government officials, traditional rulers, Islamic clerics, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Zamfara State Chapter, the Association of Christian Youths, Zamfara State Chapter, persons with disabilities (PWDs), security agencies, civil society organizations, youth groups, women groups, and other stakeholders to discuss Local Government Autonomy, citizen participation, public budget tracking, and accountability at the grassroots.

A major outcome of the engagement was the inauguration of Community Accountability Committees to strengthen public project monitoring and promote transparent local governance.

We sincerely appreciate the Nigeria Youth Futures Fund (NYFF) for funding and supporting the Grassroots Youth Accountability Watch Network (GAW) project. We also thank all participants and partners for their invaluable contributions to the success of the programme.

Successful Implementation of the Bukkuyum Youth Accountability Tea Event

Alhamdulillah! The Power of Youth and Justice Movement (PYJ) successfully implemented the Bukkuyum Youth Accountability Tea Event under the Zamfara Youths Civic Engagement and Leadership Programme.

The event brought together young people, community leaders, and other key stakeholders for meaningful discussions on public budgeting, budget tracking, transparency, accountability, and active civic engagement.

Through engaging learning sessions, participants gained practical knowledge on understanding public budgets as important policy instruments, monitoring public expenditure, and promoting accountability at the grassroots level. Beyond the technical sessions, the Tea Event also provided a platform for networking, knowledge sharing, and collaboration, inspiring young people to become active participants in promoting good governance and sustainable community development.

The success of this initiative reflects PYJ's continued commitment to empowering young people with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities needed to actively participate in governance processes and contribute to building more transparent, accountable, and inclusive communities.

We sincerely acknowledge and appreciate the Nigeria Youth Futures Fund (NYFF) for its support in advancing youth-led initiatives that promote civic engagement, accountability, and democratic participation. This support continues to create opportunities for young people to drive meaningful change within their communities.

Stakeholders' Engagement Town Hall Meeting Successfully Held in Zamfara North Senatorial District

Alhamdulillah! As the Grassroots Youth Accountability Watch Network (GAW) project approaches its conclusion, we successfully commenced our series of Stakeholders' Engagement Town Hall Meetings across the three senatorial districts of Zamfara State, beginning with the Zamfara North Senatorial District.

Held alongside the Kaura Namoda Youth Accountability Tea Event, the Town Hall Meeting brought together traditional leaders, local government officials, youth-led organizations, civil society organizations, community representatives, women and youth groups, and other key stakeholders to deliberate on Local Government Autonomy and its implications for grassroots governance, accountability, and effective service delivery.

The engagement also emphasized the importance of active citizen participation through public budget tracking, public project monitoring, and constructive engagement with government institutions. A key outcome of the meeting was the establishment and inauguration of Community Accountability Committees to champion budget tracking, monitor public projects, and promote transparency and accountability at the local government level.

We express our profound appreciation to the Nigeria Youth Futures Fund (NYFF) for funding and supporting the Grassroots Youth Accountability Watch Network (GAW) project. Their investment in youth-led accountability initiatives continues to strengthen civic participation and empower communities to play an active role in promoting transparent, inclusive, and responsive governance.

Alhamdulillah, our campus tour at the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Gusau was successfully concluded. The event was filled with insightful lectures, engaging discussions, entertainment, and interactive activities aimed at promoting civic consciousness, leadership, and youth development.

Among the sessions delivered was a lecture on the Principles of Democracy, alongside a thought-provoking debate where students discussed who should bear greater responsibility for bad governance, the voters or elected leaders. The debate showcased the intelligence, confidence, and critical thinking capacity of the participants.

The program also featured entertaining moments and healthy competitions among students, creating an atmosphere that was both educative and lively. As part of the engagement, tokens and gifts were presented to outstanding participants and winners of the debate in recognition of their performance and participation.

We sincerely appreciate everyone who contributed to the success of the tour, especially our dedicated team members, leadership, and the students whose energy and participation made the event memorable.
