Good morning Nigeria and Nigerians.
As we commemorate Democracy Day, we celebrate not only the endurance of democratic governance but also the resilience, energy, and potential of Nigeria's youth.
Democracy has created opportunities for participation and representation, but it is important to acknowledge that our system still has significant flaws and many areas that require improvement. Millions of young Nigerians continue to face challenges such as unemployment, limited access to quality education, inadequate opportunities for meaningful political participation, and economic uncertainty.
A democracy cannot reach its full potential when its youth, the largest and most vibrant segment of the population, are left on the margins. The strength of any democratic system lies in its ability to create opportunities, protect rights, and empower young people to contribute to national development.
This Democracy Day should serve as a reminder that the future of Nigeria depends on how well we invest in its youth today. Beyond celebrating democratic ideals, we must work towards building institutions and policies that give young people a genuine stake in governance, economic growth, and decision-making.
To the young people of Nigeria, your voice matters, your participation matters, and your future matters. Continue to engage constructively, demand accountability, and contribute positively to the development of our nation.
Happy Democracy Day. May we build a stronger democracy that works not just for the youth, but with the youth. 🇳🇬
God bless the federal republic of Nigeria.
God bless the Nigerian Youth.
