โ๐Book drive Project To Empower Young Minds through Knowledge By Katsina City Toastmasters Club
โ
โToday, Katsina City Toastmasters carried out an impactful book drive at Government Girls' Unity Secondary School (GGUSS), where we distributed used textbooks to students who need them. These books may have been used, but the knowledge inside them is timeless.
โ
โWe were warmly received by the school management and teachers, whose openness and support reinforced the importance of partnerships in shaping young minds.
โ
โStanding before the students, we encouraged them to make good use of the books, be dedicated in their studies, cultivate the habit of reading, and to understand that learning is a lifelong responsibility, one that grows stronger when we also learn to give back.
โ
โBeyond distributing books, we shared with the students what Toastmasters is about: a community dedicated to building confident speakers, effective communicators, and purposeful leaders. We reminded them that their voices matter, their ideas are valid, and with the right environment, they can grow into confident individuals who contribute meaningfully to society.
โ
โThis outreach was more than a book drive, it was a reminder that when knowledge is shared, confidence is built, and when confidence is built, communities are strengthened.
โ
โAt Katsina City Toastmasters, we believe in empowering minds, nurturing leadership, and creating impact beyond our meeting rooms. Today was one of those moments where service met purpose and learning met leadership.
