Guess who spent this afternoon with our participants today?

Mr. EMMANUEL ODEH ADIKPE was with us!!!! A seasoned digital specialist with over a decade of experience driving growth and innovation globally, Founder and CEO of Ihfix and a Champion Trainer for the Grow with Google project.

He delivered a session on turning your technical skills into a sustainable and meaningful career. He did this in a very engaging, relatable, and relevant way. He spoke about how being a master of technical skills alone will not take you to the height of success you dream of or deserve, it takes a balance of three things: technical skills, communication skills, and strategic thinking.

He also shared his career journey in the most relatable and genuine way, keeping the room so silent and focused. When talking about transitioning into a career while still learning, he emphasized the power of serving, approaching a company to say you’d like to serve, and from there, if you do valuable work and keep a growth mindset, you can grow your career and even build your own business. Yes, sometimes it requires being hungry, but it won’t cost you your life.
And what if they never reply? He reminded us that if you send out 1,000 emails to different companies, at least 10 will respond — and there’s a high chance that 2 could become real opportunities. Be hungry for growth and be willing to delay gratification.

Our participants learned so much and are rethinking their approach to building careers. Thank you, Mr. ADIKPE, for your time and for doing the extra work to walk our participants through the different careers in the data analytics sector and the tools required for each to qualify. And for emphasizing that data analytics is about drawing insights and understanding a business/project, going beyond numbers and visualizations to actionable recommendations and insights.

Call for Volunteers!

Africa is the world’s youngest continent, with over 70% of its population under the age of 30 (African Wildlife Foundation, 2025). In Nigeria, nearly 60% of the population is under 30 (Afrobarometer, 2025). This represents a generation full of potential, eager to set goals, plan for their future, and become leaders who can create real change.

The Lead With Students (LWS) Project is dedicated to empowering secondary and high school students across Africa. Through the programme, students learn how to develop leadership and teamwork skills, set achievable goals, think critically, and solve problems, preparing them to grow into confident, community-focused leaders.

We are seeking passionate volunteers, facilitators, and videographers to join us in this mission. By volunteering, you can guide, inspire, and mentor young people while making a lasting impact on Africa’s future.

Be part of shaping Africa’s next generation of leaders—volunteer with LWS today!
