We won’t back down in our advocacy effort to revitalize the 112 Emergency number in Nigeria. I’m super proud of my team in their commitment to ensure this advocacy extends to every part of the country. Ladies Empowerment Goals and Support Initiative is first in Nigeria to acknowledge the need for the revitalization of this emergency number, to ensure early response system amidst the insecurity ordeal bedeviling our dear country Nigeria.

We shall intentionally continue to contribute our resources, time and energy to ensure peace is sustained in Nigeria.

Today I visited the Chatham House to witness a roundtable discussion with the Lesotho Commonwealth Secretary General Candidate. It was interesting to see the presence of different global leaders sharing insights on the vision of the commonwealth and its journey thus far.

Following the presentation of the Lesotho candidate, my inquisitiveness led me to ask the question of “Sustainability”. I was interested to know what alternative measures are in place to ensure initiatives created remains active and effective in the absence of funding. This was an interesting question for me because, it’s important to secure and sustain the mission of Africas’ agency. To avoid disruption in the cycle of operation, it’s imperative to create a chain of continuity even when there’s change in leadership.

After the session, I used the opportunity to take a tour round the Chatham house, and It was fascinating to see the likes of Chimamanda Ediche, Olusegun Obasanjo and Amina J Muhammed (UN deputy secretary general) names on the wall, in recognition of their contribution to humanity and leadership in general.

I did had a great time learning.
