The answer is yes, but not in the way many people think. Islam allows a man to see the woman he intends to marry so he can make an informed decision. It does not permit asking her to expose her body or wear revealing clothes. The meeting should remain modest and within Islamic guidelines..
They can meet in a public setting or with her wali or family aware, without being alone together They can talk, ask important questions, and see each other respectfully within the limits set by Islam. According to the majority of scholars, a man proposing for marriage is permitted to see only her face and hands, as these are sufficient to assess her appearance and make an informed decision. He is not permitted to ask her to uncover her body or wear revealing clothing..Thank you

My heart is so heavy… 25 school girls… children who did nothing but try to get an education… were taken away. It’s painful how these things keep happening and we just move on like it’s normal.
Imagine the fear in their eyes. Imagine their parents at home, praying, crying, begging Allah for a miracle.

This shouldn’t be our reality.
Schools should be safe.
No mother deserves this kind of heartbreak. No child deserves this trauma.

We can’t stay silent. We can’t act like this is just another headline.These are human beings. These are young girls with dreams, futures and families waiting for them.

Yaa Allah, please protect them.
Surround them with Your mercy.
Comfort their families.
And bring them back to their mothers’ arms.

And soften the hearts of those who keep causing pain in this country.
