Mrs Sagoe is a professional aesthetician (skin care therapist), with 38 years’ experience.
She launched her own natural skincare line – Shea Origin in 2014 and exports cosmetics and Shea butter to the UK and USA. Shea Origin is a global supply partner to renouned US Shea Radiance LLC.
Mrs Sagoe runs the Shea Processing Training Centre, in Saki Oyo State as an NGO. Over 1,000 women have been trained at this Centre for which they receive grants from the local government and Shea Origin Ltd. Mrs Sagoe is also supported by USAID Nigeria Expanded Trade and Transport Programme (NEXTT).
Through the Training Centre, Nigerian women are able to sell a higher quality product at better prices thereby improving the living conditions of such women and their families and lifting them out of extreme poverty.
Mrs Sagoe has established her industry product as “Women’s Gold” for the US dollars it yields from export and access to international markets.
